I am throwing this out as a feeler for now...
I was thinking that we, as a group, could arrange a meet at Paramount's Carowinds sometime this season. For those unaware, Carowinds is ON the NC/SC border from I-77 in Charlotte. That's right, this would mean that I am looking for interest from North AND South Carolinians, hell some south VA folks as well if possible.
I have not yet arrived on a date, I have been looking over the site and will agree to take the point as far as setting up one of their "small group" picnic rates, that would make sure that everyone is fed and gets an all-day pass to the park, parking and extras would be on you, of course. To do this, we would need AT LEAST 15 people involved and would need to let them know (red: money ready) at least 7 days in advance.
My question, at this point, is who is interested? Can we get a group of folks willing to meet up and chill one day later in the spring?
What times are good for you guys/girls?
First weekend in May, 3rd-7th is out for me.

This sounds like a fun venture. I'm interested and if it works out, I have a party of 4 and 1/2 to add to the numbers. Anytime but the weekend of May 18th should work for us. :bow:

I'm interested. Right now I don't see why I couldn't make it. Once a date is decided I can confirm if I can do it. I'd probably bring my girlfriend too.

Alec, I now live at the exit BEFORE that black coupe I sent you to that time, instead of 2 after it, we can meet up here and commence from there, the list goes like this, so far:

We have at least 7 and as many as 11 so far, tell people, guys so I can establish a date and get this thing in motion.

If I would go i'd most likely need to ride with someone, since I have no vehicle.

But i'd give gas money and a shift knob.

No back seat, and my GF rides shotgun. Maybe some one else would be willing.

I'm in, once again, as long as its a weekend, and I know in advance by a few weeks. GF, 2 friend, and I, so four of us. maybe meet up with a few people from the MB and WIL area and we can cruise up together. I'm from Charlotte so I can make sure no one gets lost.

I may be interested depends on how the wife is doing.

We have enough to get in on the "small group" rate, is everyone definitely in, I will call them this week and make sure of what that rate is, and remember that we need to be ABSOLUTELY committed at least one week (seven days) in advance.

I'm game, and if anyone else wants to come up from columbia with me thats cool. I'd be me and +1 for sure. The sooner a date can be set the better, I don't work friday/saturday, but if it's on a sunday I can always make up the hours, just gotta know ahead of time. Sounds fun.

It really depends on the date, but I will probably be coming with my girlfriend and her brother possibly. All depends on the date. But I live literaly 10 minutes from carowinds so I will at least swing by and meet some people.

I'd be up for this if I the date is announced in time for me to get time off of work.

As it were, only the first weekend in May is totally out of the question for me

I may or may not have a few Carolina Nissan people coming too, but I think they have coupons. So, they probably won't go towards the group rate.

Edit: last weekend in April(27th-29th) is no good for me. Other than that I should be good.

Well I am down for whenever. It will have to be a weekend though. UPS is unforgiving on days off.

AS far as availability, the beginning of may is out of the question for me as well. And mid June is out. So maybe the beginning of June would work out? Or later if that dosent work. And I would probably be in on the group rate.

Phlip why the hell hadn't you mentioned this to me... you know how sporadic I'm on the boards anymore.... any weekend other than Murphday and the 28th of april are cool with me.

Brandon, I had not mentioned it to you because you're so rarely online and do not often respond to text messages until you need a ride to Atlanta on 8 days notice.

TO EVERYONE INTERESTED:
My own personal and monetary schedule is leaning me more towards May 19th, yes that is a Saturday.
I am NC raised, so I place EXTRA solace in knowing that (even weekend days) Carowinds is not QUITE as busy when school is in.
Is that day problematic to any of you?
