78 280z wont go into 5th gear!!

Hey...this is my first post(or second)... and I need some help. My cousin just bought a 280z for 1500 bucks and just told me yesterday that it dont go into 5th gear. When i first drove it i did get it into 5th but now it wont go in..not even when its parked. Does anyone know what can cause this and do we go about fixing it?? Any input appreciated!!

I would bet the farm it has everything to do with a 33+ year old transmission.

Start your junkyard search for another one

there is a 280z with a 4 Speed
