240sx stock temp gauge with ls swap??

The signal wire temp sender or sensor is the sensor responsible for the temperature gauge on the instrument cluster correct?
and am I right to assume this wire is grounded through the body correct? Thanks for your time

Don't ever trust the OEM temp gauge. Get an aftermarket one.

End of story.

I couldn't agree more. The stock cluster isn't a stepper motor type, so it isn't that accurate.

Upgrade and be done.

Oem gauge reads in the middle from like 150-210
(I'll actually try and verify this with my tablet)
