Other than family, real Popeye's, crawfish boils, king cake, mardi gras, the best seafood restaurants anywhere, beignets from Cafe Du Monde (hell, beignets in general), Saints games, etc.

What's there to miss?

(ok, to be fair, I don't miss the mosquitos, hurricanes, humidity, and other such stuff - also, I lived there LONG before Katrina so I have NO idea how things are now.)

Ok I agree family, food, mardi gras, crawfish...dang any seafood, yea after thinking about it there is quite abit. I've moved around so much then come back then leave again its really retarded. Military and pipefitting will do that to ya. Next stop Cali whoop. Where you at now? oh I dont miss any of those items either haha. Ive lived in louisiana all my life except for leaving for work or military...it is what it is.

i moved here from atlanta and im really enjoying the slow pace living. although the scene in laffy isnt so big but the boys here actually know their 240 facts.

What part of Atlanta? I lived in Buford for about 4 years. All over gwinnett county haha. Scene still big up there you know of? Specially th varisty on thursdays.

Im originally from Shreveport but ive lived here in Houston most of my life, i go back time to time visiting family that still lives there. Looking to get out of the south completly though and move to the west coast either cali or washington because i have alot of family there also.

Um...Just cuz I'm going to Cali doesn't mean I'm going for the 49ers hahaha. I'm going for work which is 8 months that's all.

i'm from the abita springs/ covington area... anybody know of any pick-a-parts where I can find some s13's? just moved to the are from the east coast about 3 days ago haha... any help would be appreciated

Slidell Louisiana here. There are a few S13's and S14's around but I don't have time to hangout with any of those guys, plus I'm old and they're young. I would feel out of place since they are into different things.

I guess I would be what you would call "old school" with a kinda new school car (S13 coupe). I used to own a bad ass 280Z that I turboed and built it for running.

I build custom aluminum fuel rails and I'm a certified auto tech by day so I'm very busy most of the time.

True, we have the best food on the planet.
