S14 240sx Radiator ?lower tubes? not hoses

Hello can some one confirm what these lower tubes pointing towards each other are used for? The are the ones on the bottom of the radiator.

If I’m not mistaken they are to cool down your automatic transmission?

That is the hook up for auto transmission cooler. If ur car is manual, u can leave them as is

So do they need to be tapped off, so fluid will not come out?
