So i've been lookin to get one so i can ride to work, i live like 15-20 min away but not sure to buy/build my own.i was wondering if any of you guys have one and did u build it or purchased it. oh yea post pics of ur Bike. Thanks!!

Sometimes I see packs of them riding down Los Coyotes and whatnot....

bunch of 1984 colors and whatnot.... riding in the middle of the street, etc....

You guys can ride fixed gear bikes out there? I could barely get to my house as a kid on my bmx with the Goliath hills around here. I'd say rock it, you'll be surprised how nice it is knowing you fill your tank half as much and can use the money for fun driving rather than boring driving

Last night I was at Pink's and some fixie kid was flying down La Brea and did some skid drift or something and almost smashed into the cars on the street.


I think the "fixie" thins is kind of neat, but it seems like a lot of the riders I see on them just make me have such a negative opinion about the whole thing.

Riding around like jackasses. Running red lights. Riding slow in the middle of the street.

My friend rides fixed gear, he just got sponsored last week.

Actually, all of my friends ride fixed gear now.

I felt left out, so I bought an old school mountain bike. I don't really want fixed, but it is converted to single speed and I am going to put a big road bike wheel in the rear, and have the dumbest bike ever.

Maybe also wrap it in black rainbow flake vinyl that I never put on my car.

Fixed Gear is sweet but I hate how it is becoming "trendy"
I ride an old Peugeot that I did some stuff to but I don't feel cool enough to go hang out with those dudes with sweet 800$ bikes, skinny jeans, and hipster mustaches.
