z32 mafs, does it need the upgraded/reprogramed ecu in-order to work?
 

I was just wanting to know if the z32 mafs must have a reprogramed ecu to go with it. I have read that you need to use somthing like the jwt's ecu with the z32 mafs, also i want to use the blitz intake kit but it says to be used with the z32mafs, but can i use it and use the stock ecu off a s13 blacktop?

K first you need to play with the search botton before you get lit up here.

But yes you need to either get a reprogramed ECU that will run the Z maf or you can get a SAFC and use that. Basically the SAFC will change the signal coming from the Z maf to make the stock ECU think its still a stock Maf.

Im assuming that the z32 MAF is going into your 240. All I know is that if you have a sr20 swap and run a z32 MAF, you need some type of fuel mapping capabilities.
