22, 12k in debt..
had to buy a civic 4dr when my 240 spun a bearing and blew the head gasket.
its always that unexpected shit.

VROOOM 09-24-2008 09:22 AM

about 20k in debt (my car). at one point i had 15k in credit card debt but i finally paid that shit off and cut up all my credit cards. cash or nothing now.

jskateborders 09-24-2008 09:41 AM

about 6 k in cards and 6 k in school, so far.

breed13 09-24-2008 11:25 AM

I'm about 6k indebt. Maxing out a credit card for car parts always seems like a good idea at the time haha

Sir 09-24-2008 11:43 AM

5K loan for bike
6K in CC's
110K in the house.

Net worth should be well into positive by the end of the year.

anyotherone 09-24-2008 11:46 AM

Man all of you guys with credit card debt should make a plan and pay that shit off as quick as possible. 15-30% adds up quick, a buddy of mine racked up $55k in debt by the time he was 22, he's just now digging out of the hole after 6 years of Ramen noodles and driving a Geo.

Slammed180 09-24-2008 12:31 PM

310k Mortgage for 40 fricken years.
16k '03 silverado
5k '90 180SX
3k credit card.

Only 21. life sucks....

noshow 09-24-2008 12:36 PM

the key to it all is, and i know im only 22 and saying this but being responsible and putting off that turbo, intercooler, or new block etc. until you actually have the money

Its always so easy to get yourself in debt but hard as hell to get out. Just the way credit card companies like it. I recommend you guys see the credit card documentary called Maxed Out. It documents the cruel reality of credit card companies and the collectors who will stop at nothing to make you pay your debt.

True. Very few people, not just Americans enjoy the benefits of delayed gratification.

I have consistently held back from buying expensive cars and buying a house because I don't want to commit myself to a standard of living that is not easily kept up when the economy slouches. Good thing, now I'm married and back in school but I didn't have to really change anything other than I haven't finished my S13 that I planned on having done in Feb. :P

Otherworldview 09-24-2008 01:02 PM

I'm 23 with about 21k in CC and Loans, plus another 20k in more student loans.

bbejj123 09-24-2008 02:02 PM

Nachtmensch 09-24-2008 04:39 PM

car payments = debt... technically. so i have over 10k left on that.

without car payments, im $2600 in the hole to my dad.

ejkisela 09-24-2008 04:41 PM

34,
All debt = $9900.00.

Net worth is well into the positive however. I started saving at 23. A little bit here and there adds up exponentially. Money Market CDs and the 401K/Roth iras have done us well. Start saving now kiddies. You'll be my age before you know it.

AWSneer 09-24-2008 04:43 PM

0-1K but when I am out of school the little number will be about 100K. UGH!

[email protected] 09-24-2008 05:01 PM

21, Roughly 9-10k or so between school loans, IS300, motorcycle, and a little bit of CC debt. Nothing bad though I think.

With the motor build on my S14 about to commence, I won't be more in debt just mo broke. I plan to build the motor with all cash or nothing. I would hate to blow it up again and still owe on it :(.

Regards,
Robert

timster 09-24-2008 08:13 PM

19 and no debt. I own the S13 and I've got a full ride to my University. Woo.

ronmcdon 09-24-2008 08:44 PM

Debt free.

21 years old.

I hustle for that change to pay for school each semester.

I'll probably take out a student loan to get my M.B.A. if I go back to The University of Tennessee.

That's the reason for non-baller wheels at them moment.

The ROMAN 09-25-2008 08:29 AM

I never understood why people go into debt to buy car parts. If I couldn't afford it, I didn't buy it! Simple!

I feel your pain.

boro otaku 09-25-2008 12:02 PM

I try to live 100% debt free.

MudRacer 09-25-2008 12:29 PM

25k in student loans - Graduated.
10K CC
13K Personal Loans

I made a mistake of getting a 10K Cashcall loan a few years ago. Interest on it was like 38 percent. I was doing mortgage loans back then, figured it pay it off in a month. didnt happen. I paid them 10k in payments for 2 years, still owed 9K. Then paid that right off by getting a personal loan recently*

Debt sucks. Atleast my 240 is debt free.
