Stolen 280z 1975
 

Hey fellas, im from Hybridz and just had my car stolen on 3/31/12 Saturday. Im just trying to get the word out and hope someone may see my car somewhere, here is some info.

1975' 280z, color meteor grey pearl with Msa fender flares (black), BRE rear spoiler (black), 240z msa front air dam (black), ROTA RBR's (black), All the Marker lights were shaved off, Ground control coil over suspension, smoked headlight lenses, and the front windscreen has a lateral crack on the drivers side. I JUST DID the Toyota 4runner brake swap (like one week ago), the interior is black and the drivers side chair is pretty torn up as well.
This took place in Oakland at 4:30 am on 2nd and Washington in jack London square. There was a toyota tercel that was a light blue or white that was helping the robber, they headed south 880 and maybe got off embarcadero, 23rd ave or fruitvale. There wasnt much fuel to get very far unless they stopped to get gas somewhere.

Ok, so apparently they found my car off the side of a road in redwood city, police told me that it still has the wheels and it is in good shape, my steering lock is broken though. It just doesn't make any sense to me, they first broke into my car so i moved it so i could keep an eye on it, came back an hour later to steal it, fill it up with gas to take it to redwood city for a joy ride? Or maybe they are the dumbest car thief's in the world and thought they scored a old school jaguar or Porsche and then realized it isn't worth anything? Just doesn't make any sense to me

Damn bro, glad your getting it back though. Now install another kill switch and don't forget to flip that bitch. Maybe invest in alarm too. I know they're pretty much useless (for stopping seasoned thieves) but a 2-way is nice cause it'll alert you to get ready to beat some ass.

Well i was actually thinking of just getting rid of this car, i want to buy another 75' 280 and swap over all the goodies from my car to the new one. I love the wide wheels and racy look but it just draws way to much attention and makes the car seem worth way more than it is.

That sucks man.
