Very cool and interesting. Make this swap a piece of cake

turbo2nr 04-27-2015 01:40 PM

:( no ka luv??

Mazworx 04-27-2015 01:50 PM

as of right now, it's for the SR. Once we have this one done and kicking ass, we can do the KA. Mark said he's all for doing it.

gearhead290 04-27-2015 02:33 PM

What about a shifter provision that puts the shifter in the correct place?

RalliartRsX 04-27-2015 03:38 PM

Hmmmmmm

What would the package price be for this to bolt up a VQ tranny?? Also, any idea on speed sensor provision or wire up solution??

Mister.E 04-27-2015 03:40 PM

I wish someone could do this for a CD009 to 1JZ/2JZ setup.

this!!! ^^^^

will the bellhousing adapter actually keep the shifter in OEM position? not all of us want racecar interior, id love the option of upgrading to a VQ tranny while keeping my stock interior stock.

frmdabak187 04-27-2015 05:48 PM

what he said ^^ Patiently waiting reply

Rb26kouki 04-27-2015 05:57 PM

I'm sure it is

Busta 04-27-2015 06:41 PM

Well this is just fabulous! Having a product like this finally on the market will provide for a sturdy structure/attachment direct fit solutionto swap in this transmission. I presently run z33 tranny on sr with welded bellhousing its a match made in heaven. Should definetly have a mazworx cnc shifter bracket developed in line with this.

Busta 04-27-2015 06:43 PM

stock interior is indeed possible i have all the interior stuff. Shifter is 1.5 inches aft from boot center still looks oem

laurel4 04-27-2015 07:00 PM

Please please make one to adapt vq trans to rb. Already adapters around (albeit not of this quality) for SR's, KA's and even JZ motors and yet nothing for the RB.

very cool! i'm interested in this.

do you have a ballpark estimate of when this will be released and pricing?

Smurf_240SX 04-28-2015 10:41 AM

Nice! this would be a great upgrade awesome!

Mazworx 04-28-2015 01:49 PM

We're working to get it to the market, soon. We have a lot of work in the shop and tons of products to work on. Don't worry, it won't be too much longer. =)

Collins makes an adapter plate for RBs. JWT makes an adapter plate to use an auto RB bell housing on the z33 trans.

Either way, a cast bell housing like this would be the better and probably optimal solution anyways.

...So, I agree, RB needs to be put on the todo list for Mazworx.

I'm sure they will make one for the RB as well like they previously said regarding the KA. Once the SR Housing Is done and kicking ass.

Yellow4g63 04-28-2015 06:25 PM

I hope it comes out before I do my VET swap.

lg54 04-28-2015 07:50 PM

If the shifter is in the "stock sr trans position"

Any idea on projected price? Maybe group buy killer price?

I'm pretty sure you can't get to stock shifter position with just a bell housing, the input shaft is what determines the location of transmission relative to the engine (chassis).

Why are the rest of you talking about RB-VG adapters? The idea is to upgrade here.
