r154 problems
 

hey guys for some weird reason my r154 wont go into reverse:s? When i put it in reverse the car moves forward. Before it was installed on my 2jz it was sitting on its bell housing.. had to remove the reverse light and push the shaft back, so it could shift. The first gear thrust bearing is gone and I was just using this tranny to avoid towing it around when the car was functional except that 1st gear. it seems as though the gears are making a scraping noise of some sort under heavy stress as in when i put it in second and slowly let out the clutch it grabs and starts pulling the car but the more i let out the clutch the louder the scraping :S. Any help is greatly appreciated.

so i narrowed it down, looks like reverse gear is 5th gear and 5th gear is no gear, or neutral
