s13 sr in s14 240 coil pack subharness diagram
 

My motor starting sparking up a storm one day and i found the culprit to be a smaller black cable that comes from the coil pack sub harness to be the culprit. It's cut clean through in an areas between the firewall and back of the block. car seemingly runs fine without it but it has to have a purpose. does anyone have this diagram? i see a lot of s14 sr in s13 240 but few s13 sr in s14 240.

I believe the cable is a ground but there's 12 total cables from the coils and 6 in the connector.im assuming each has an individual cable to control spark timing, one is ground, and one is power. the power and ground likely all connect to the same respective power and ground sources. I don't get how the ground can be live though as it showed me just how much power it was carrying.
