Help: S13 Left and Right Axles
 

Hey I tried installing the driveshaft shop axles today, but the left rear axle won't fit in. The right has lots of room too play with. I tried switching the axles to see if one was supposed to be for the left, but both of them refused to fit in. The rear end seems to be offset to the left, is it suppose to be like that? Are the axles supposed to be different sizes, one shorter and one longer, or are they suppose to be the same? Please help thanks.

yes onle axle is longer than the other

if i recall correctly, the left side is about 1 3/8ths inches shorter.

the driveshaft goes down the centerline of the car, more or less, but the differential itself is offset
