Yeah there are several of us around. There are more threads like yours in here with most of the people already in there.

yeah i tried to search for some but didnt come across any. must have needed to go back further. i know all the project a spec guys and have known j woo for a long time. i have worked the gate at pretty much all of his events.

Haha oh yeah? The Michigan "drifters" huh? I moved here from NC about 2 years ago, so I've only met a few guys. CamryonBronze is from here, and 240GTR too. There are quite a few.

I attend Grand Rapids community college from September through April, live on the corner of Cherry and Grandville. I don't have an s-chassis but I've got a z31. I've got a friend who owns an s13 though. Don't know anyone that digs Nissans over there.

i live in port huron, but go over to grand rapids to hang with this butt-jocky fairly often^^^^

yeah my s13 is a POS but i just got it this year and already dropped $6000 into it. doin a full ka24e to ka24de-t swap on her. fully building it

i still have the ka24e in my car that runs like complete junk. i bought everything that i need for the swap (engine, trans, harness, ecu, maf, ect) and i have the engine torn down right now. i have CP pistons, eagle rods, arp head studs, clevite bearings, and now i am working on parts for my head. Just got my stage 2 turbo cams from fedex today.

right now my car is just lowered on tein basic coils and got 17x9 rota grid wheels

I love the 17x9s but in order to fit it is a good idea to roll the rear fenders. Unfortunately they they scrap my front fender while turning. So I would go with like a 17x8.5 for the fronts.

I don't take pics of the front of my car cuz its all smashed up. My girlfriends dad backed into my car when he left for work one night :'(

thanks for the heads up man. and that sucks about the front end! just take off your front clip and people will just think youre drifting it! haha

Once I turbo it I will be just driving around without my front bumper with a big old intercooler.

when are you doing the swap? im actually doing a vg swap with my buddy on his z31. its that blue one.

Rota makes the sickest staggered wheels. Exiled, tuck that muffler and you'll have a clean-ass car. Stance is fucking proper, dude.

Just need a few more parts before I can sent off the motor to the machine shop then I can start building. Probably wont have everything in till next spring.

And thanks dude. I want to just get an all new exhaust. Idk what brand this one is it was just on the car when I got it.

Honestly I haven't thought that much into it. I don't kno to much about turbos. So I still got some research to do.

I don't fuck too much with turbos either. The T3 I've got has like no shaft play after 130,000 miles and I don't plan on throwing more than 300 hp into my Z. Can't wait to get this fucking VG33 block back from the machine shop, everything is ready to be bolted on and bolted in. Should be pretty mean, utilizing the stock VG30ET turbo on a higher compression truck motor.

Yeah I am on ka-t already. Went their back when I planned on turboing my IS300.

I want to try to get around 400hp when my car is finished.

for sure. i just need the valves, springs, and retainers before i can start getting it all built.

sadly that will take awhile cuz i jokingly "planked" my buddies car and it cracked his custom fiberglass hood so i owe him $1350 to get it fixed up. lol.

Its not a bad gig, just get a technical MOS and grow some thick skin. Alot of people do NOT like it but hey thats military life. It opens a ton of doors when you get out. Here's my current project.

Yeah. My 240 doesn't have any rust so I don't want to risk it. I don't have a dd yet so I will be without a car for a lil while and relying on friends to get around places.

ehh kinda, i'm puttin in a welded diff, isis exhaust, and an analog speedo. oh and a radiator since mine exploded on me, but that's just maintenance i guess.

just some vatozone replacement radiator. i was pretty broke and needed it fast...

ohh gotcha. im hoping to pick up a koyo or mishimoto for my build i did this winter.

I got my dohc built with forged internals and stage 2 cams, i just bought a Greddy Ti-C exhaust. i still need to find a new radiator and overflow. also need header down pipe and test pipe. the entire interior got gutted (climate control, back seats and panels, and sound deadning). for now thats all i got.

Nah I doubt I will. My facebook is pretty much the only place where I have photos in a timeline of the whole build.

Anyone from kalamazoo? I've seen a few 240's crusing around, but not many. I'm just getting into them, I picked up a vert this winter, i'm slowly working on fixing it up. It'd be nice to know some local people that have parts =)

I have a 89 240. No rust. It wont have a motor when i sell it tho.

My son has a 97 that we are having problems with hub bearings and hubs. The front wheel bearing was bad. We removed the hub and ordered a bearing. the bearing we got was a BCA 510031. This wheel bearing was wrong. The ID is way off. The BCA bearing ID is 1.1811, OD is 2.6772 and the width is 1.7717. We took the hub to a machine shop to remove the old bearing. They broke the hub trying to get the old one out. It appears the old berings dimensions are ID 1.335,OD 2.955 and width is 2.10. These are guesses. I am assuming that the hub has been swapped or ungraded? Anyone have any experience with this? Can we give some more info to you guys to get some help?

I need hub and 2 wheel bearings. We are in the south central MI area...

Yea that's kind of what i said. This dude I know from michigan told me all of these lingo terms. I'm a traveling pipe welder. So yea Michigan has jobs....the whole country/world has jobs. It's a recession proof job. 80-120k easily a year. You can make anywhere from 2-5k a week. No joke. Biggest I've made in a week is about 3k. Average is about 2k a week for me. This is my first year though, so I'm still gaining experience and learning the life. Not to mention fat tax returns because you can claim all the rent, tools, clothes etc. Just depends on how bad you really want to work. Hell some make more than that and take months off. The lifestyle is rewarding yet has its downfalls. Live in shithole hotels most the time to stack even more cash. Being single and no kids is almost ideal (iv heard many horror stories). I just quit the job I was on in Arkansas, was there for 9 months. Probably be in Michigan for 3-4 months depending on if I like it or they start skimping hours. Anything less than 60 hours a week I get into my look for another job mode. I got a rb25 to build damn it!! Give me the cash!

I have competed in The Drift Effect 1 & 2, SLT 2010, MDU 2011, Drift Battle 2010. I recently opened 3S Customs (3S Customs Home) which is dedicated to building drift cars. I then purchased the U.S. Drift franchise here in Michigan and started throwing events last year. I started The Motor City Mayhem Tour in 2011 which is an amateur drifting & time attack championship racing series which has sparked quite a lot of attention, creating an amazing group of new drivers and fans here in Michigan. We have an awesome set of tracks lined up for our 2012 season, our first event is Saturday July 9th 2012 at Dixie Motor Speedway. We recently shut down the streets in Detroit to get people excited for the 2012 racing season, here is what went down.
