s13 pop up motor func check
 

Hey guys,
I'm wiring my pop up headlights to a momentary on/off/on switch to bypass all the relays and timers. My understanding is that black is the ground wire, brown is the up signal, and purple/white is the down signal. Tested the motor by supplying 12v directly to the purple/white and ground, motor went down. Do the same thing to the brown/ground, motor doesn't go up. Is my motor shot? My other side is a "new" remanufactured one, and it won't go up or down. Do I have two dead motors or am I missing something?
