Z31 manual boost controller Q's

Ok well My z31 is bone stock, and being the fact it only runs 6? lbs of boost I was thinking about purchasing a manual controller.

Q: How much boost can I safely run on a completely stock car? The car only has 20k miles and im not in the mood to swap engines quite yet.:dead:

About 12 lbs? I don't think that would work with no intercooler...
