Ive had maybe three 4 lokos in total ever, and I still think its stupid for the government of the so-called-land-of-the-free to ban them, just because some college kids were dumb while consuming it. Smacks of prohibition to me.

Not me, but a couple of friends went today to stack up...

IMO I think it's a dumb law If they ban it then people will just move on to the next thing..........

hahah i saw about 40 posts on FB about this... and there not banned there changing whats in it and maybe new flavors(new loko already in some stores btw) but it will still be here. never had one but seen my friends have them. as bad as beer is for you no way im consuming that amount caffeine and alcohol willingly. if kids have been hospitalized and died from drinking 4lokos then i really dont mind them being banned. what ever happened to just enjoying beer ?

Underage kids with no jobs would prefer a $2.50 can of fourloko and get DESTROYED rather than $8 for a 6 pack of cheap beer and get buzzed.

Fosters is like $3-$4 and its the same as 2 beers thats a better deal to me (go vons card!)

If there banning it..am pretty sure 4lokos are just going to be rebranded and resold in stores..its just a matter of time

My favorite drink is Pilsner Urquell, straight from the motherfuckin barrel before it is even processed/pasteurized for bottling. A virgin and pure beverage that makes Odin weep with joy. Too bad you have to travel to Plzen (Czech Republic) to try it.

BUT, my problem is with the government banning shit. Put warning labels, get tougher on DUIs, checkfor legal age, PROMOTE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES SO THE U.S.A STOPS BEING THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE DEVELOPED WORLD DUE TO OUR IGNORANCE AND PISS POOR TASTE IN DRINKS! But dont ban shit like this is 39' Germany and we have a committee to uphold morals and decency.....

Kids did not die from 4 loko. They died because they consumed SEVERAL, in addition to other alcoholic beers.

i understand that they died/were hospitalized because they drank several, but isnt whats making them drink three or four all the caffeine and sugar in the first one ? checking for legal age ? please, im sure every place that sells them does it the problems is that every fucking person knows a 21 year old that will get them these drinks so there is absolutely no problem in obtaining them even if they get stricter on checking ids. and i dont think that theres a lack of understanding of alcohol in the us compared to the rest of the world, but the culture of drinking is much different here than in the rest of the world but thats a topic for another time.

When I go to party's and I see them letting in under aged kids all the kids do is drink 4 Lokos.

Im talking about 15 year old kids, thats when I leave the party...

haha yea 4 lokos is the bandwagon drink you cant be cool unless you drink it bro! esp if your underage it makes you atleast 80% cooler depends on what 4 loko you choose ;)

They died/were hospitalized because they didnt read the letters on the can that say 23.5 Oz, 12% alcohol. Just like cigarettes, a more extreme warning label would work fine! And it was only a COUPLE OF KIDS! MORE THAN THAN 20 TIMES THIS NUMBER OF PEOPLE DIE EACH YEAR BECAUSE OF FUCKING PEANUT ALLERGIES, so lets ban all peanuts/allergy producing products to keep people safe while we are at it.

And yes. The caffeine in the first one makes you not feel the effects until later, at which point you might have already consumed more. So when it hits you, you might already by drunk.

But my point is, this is personal responsibility. I can legally buy some cheap ass vodka and 5 hour energy drinks and mix them and have a combination 10times more dangerous than a 4 loko....so is the government gonna ban them too???

I still can't understand why the fuck Americans - some of the most privileged, spoiled, and pampered persons in the entire world -are so fixated with owning assault rifles and "defending der freedoms from evil commies/the king of england/zombies!".(eventhough I like guns)

But I still oppose banning these products just because someone, somewhere, abused it and was harmed as a result.
