Red Wrinkle Valve Cover tomorrow, wish I had more advice.
 

I am doing my valve cover gasket, leaking terribly. Going to do the PCV at the same time.

Repainting the cover red (KA....not trying for red top, red on white looks good to me, plus my injen is red already).

I heard there are timing chain pieces to remove....don't know if they apply to a 98 KA24DE or not...

I was thinking of doing early cams, but got no clarification in time, and none were around locally 'cheap' enough.

Should be an easy project, doing my dad's brakes while my cover dries tomorrow morning/afternoon.

Anything else to do?
