easy transmission question
 

on the sr20det redtop transmission what is the first sensor for? the one that it closest to the engine near the fork. reason i ask is the soder on mine has come off and the wire is just dangling and my car was running fine without it but i was wondering if i need it hooked up. I tried to search but I dont know the name of it. Thanks
