Wish they had a 2-day discount. Or better yet an annual pass. This is getting expensive...

Nah, but they bumped it up to like $150 bucks for the event right?
That's crazy expensive compared to usual :(
DD's are closer since its only Cali Speedway
Just Drift is a good option, way more fun to run Balcony! Woo woo!

true, but you could always drive down to buttonwillow (right?). all the japan military dudes who drift have to drive like 4-6 hours to hit up an event, now thats hardcore.
anyone ever consider a socal vs. norcal drift off?
if that is lame then my bad, but i have some peoples up there who need to catch wreck :)
then...its socal vs. texas after that hahaha

lets see, event prices goes up, gas prices are up, cost of tires, wear and tear on the car (devalue car), replacing/upgrading parts = us being broke
wasn't the first dd like 60 bucks because it was considered to be 'car control' type of event..,
anyhoo, somebody should just get a big private lot (or know of someone) in the boonies (so don't get complaints from residents) and do our own private drift event, even if it's a cone dodging...

a lot of it has to due with insurance.
not necessarily from drivers but also specators being there.
too many sue happy peoiple these days.
insurance deems it unsafe. sliding around at 30-40mph for the most part. we need full cages to do tandem....so lame. its a joke.
if i had a big lot to fuck with. it would only be me and friends

Can I be your friend?? :) No seriously though I thought about this its just hard to get city permits and find a big enough piece of land these days where no one cares. Plus it needs to be close enough to civilization for it to be somewhat convienent

dallas, tx events are about as dead and pathetic as the shocker. so for cool events we have to drive to houston (5 hours) and/or loserana (7 hours). quit fucking whining about hte norcal to socal drive you pussies.

yeah, that's what i meant, not for general public, but for closer knit community who are not ghey and sue happy or else they'll get their ass kicked
and no such thing as convenient location since price of real estate is not funny...

Well. If you take the high road then the low road looks so daring more to fuck with. .. .
I say we run these knukleheads out of the Dday sessions, work around that of a true enthusiast to just handle all this big name shit, Dday is popular as all hell, so buttonwillow is next, just make sure the kids up there have their own personal knowledge of what it feels like to be clipped or slammed into. cause it will happen.
I wish I could make it to either, so the kats on here that do make it out to these events prior to Dday 31 ?!?!?!
. .. .damn, there have be 31 events & still comin'
so to the guys who are stacked & spoiled enough to make it regularly to these meetings. .. .to each his own, me personally, I have a good time on a well set back section of road that has damn near been forgot about to the general public, and handle my business there. Knowing full well that i take the obvious risks & spoils that i reap in once i've made it out safely for a good nights rest of watching what I did. .. .!
