and the knock sensor... i assume it's bad? where is it?

please help me out may car is running like shit.. i can't drive it..

mafs error is probably causing your car to drive crappy.

knock sensor is under/within the intake manifold 'loop' on the intake side of the engine. it's a bitch to get to. try cleaning/tightening/resoldering the engine grounds that are connected to the engine on the upper right side of the valve cover by the firewall. sometimes that clears it up.

but what do i check on the maf? i mean i don't really know what to try since it isn't the actual mafs

ok, today i fooled with the wiring somewhat, it seems like the ground has a lot to do with my problem... when i unhook the ground, the car's idle jumps and holds quite a bit higher, but as soon as i hook it back up, it acts like crap, but if i leave it unhooked, and try to drive it, it won't work...
someone please help me out... seems like im talking to myself here

Ground to the MAFS, I assume.

Ground the MAF to the chassis, see if that solves your problem.

Check the plug to see if the ground wire is corroded/grounding itself out/backing out/etc etc

Also check the wire itself all the way back to the ECU to ensure its not frayed and grounding itself out somewhere.

Good luck

would the groud being a different gauge than normal be bad? i would understand that it would be bad for the signal wire, but is this true with the ground as well?
