I just found out that my front shocks were dead. It doesn't come up when I poush it down.
I was looking through this repair manuel and it says something about opening the shocks and adding some oil. What's this about? Is this something yoiu should do every once in a while? Would this fix my shocks?

You're really going to be better off just replacing your shocks, and if you can afford it, get some springs at the same time to save on labor. If you've got an s13, KYB AGX shocks are great, and what I use personally. I don't have any experience with other shocks, but Koni Yellows have had good reviews on the board, as have Tokiko Blues. Both the KYB AGX and Koni Yellows are adjustable gas shocks. If memory serves me, Tokiko blues are non-adjustable gas shocks, but tend to be cheaper.
