My S14 comes up w/ common problem..
when you shift, rear subframe makes sound..
But then, If I just put in Subframe bushing collars, I don't need to change subframe bushings right?
I've been reading posts here whole day..
I use my car for track/also daily so aluminum sounds hard core for me.
So, I'm looking for Urethane Subframe bushing collars..but can't find it anywhere.
Can anyone help me out?

Are we talking about this one?
http://splparts.com/Parts/NissanShared/Suspension/Subframe/SPLSubframeSpacer.jpg SPL says this is subframe tilt spacers..
Or this one?
http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/imag/KCA349closeup.jpg
Pdm-racing says it's Rear Nissan Sub-Frame Align and Lock Kit..
Also, If I get spacers, I don't need subframe bushings right?
Thank you guys..

If you don't want spacers but want urethane bushings, look into Peak Performance like TurDz said. Here is a link that came up in google...

I have the Whiteline ones on my hatch. Noticed improvement on traction and the rear feels a bit higher. Still have some hop though.
A friend has HEs and alluminum collars (nice and stiff) and likes the ride just fine.

I got Tein SD and after i put on the spl collar kit, i can't even tell you the difference it made. My back end is actually sticking to the ground. To ass-out, I have to actually clutch kick, or brake initiate. While before, I could just turn the wheel and press gas and the back end slid out.

Oh, so you have to remove the old rubber bushings to put in the Peak Performance ones? I had no idea...
The PP ones are shaped just like solid metal subframe spacers (Kazama, T3, ebay style) and I thought they slip on like the rest. guess not?

just get the aluminum ones like everybody else. seriously you will hardly be able to tell a difference much less loose any ride quality. putting subframe collars on an old bushing is like the same as having brand new factory bushings (kindof?).

tanabe discontinued theirs
but yeah, other options as listed above
aluminum is better imo, but either does the job
If you have a broken OEM bushing in your subframe. Bushing collars/spacer will not fix the problem. You need to press/cut out your old bushings and replace with OEM ones or ES bushings. This is the problem I'm having right now. I installed the spacers on my subframe, a month later; one of my oem bushings broke. I can now move my subframe with my hand lol.

Are these SCCA legal? I'm not sure about the aluminum ones either. It would suck if you're put in a higher class like Unlimited just because you have subframe collars/spacers

I got these Nylon ones off ebay for cheap:

Unless you get the Aluminum ones with Notches cut out. You have to drop the whole sub-frame. Which is easy if you know the trick to it.

I can't find it even in ebay.
Can anyone give me a link for urethane subframe bushings for S14?

They call them bushings but they are inserts that fit just like the ones S14DB posted. These inserts fill the gap of the stock bushings. I call the SPL or Whiteline "spacers" because people will put them to change the angle of the subframe...ie put the spacers in the top/front only etc.

Sorry for bitching but i'm confused now.
what I want is "urethane subframe bushing" which is inserted into subframe.
Sth that I have to remove stock old bushings to put in new "urethane subframe bushing"
I don't want spacers for now..
Splparts.com doesn't have one.
I thought this was it

but I guess it's just like spacers?

Nismo makes replacement bushings. You have to take the sub-frame completely off the car with everything off. Then press out the old sleeves and press in the Nismo units. It's a major operation.
Most peoples bushings get soft after time and why they get the spacers like I have to reduce the slop.
The whiteline bushings are to change the angle of the sub-frame to change the squat characteristics of the IRS.
Unless your stock bushings are so shot to the point were the center pin doesn't stay in. I would get spacers to stiffen it up.
