Seeing's how I haven't posted on here in awhile I thought I would with a thanks... to everyone here. For months I have been preparing for my manual SR20DET swap into my 89 auto 240sx. I searched and searched the forums for all the info I could find, from Fuel Pump installs to auto/manual swaps to heat ranges of spark plugs. It took over a month of downtime because I couldn't get time off work but I actually only worked on the swap for a total of 5 days.... including pulling the SR out of a front clip. All this done with little knowledge and basic hand tools... and my trusty breaker bar/torque wrench :D . Naturally I had doubts... a lot of them, wondering if I could do it or if problems will arise... but I turned to the Zilvia forums and read all I could stand, reassuring me every step of the way were the words of countless individuals who had encountered and overcome their problems. I started this dream nearly 4 years ago, but wasn't able to acquire a 240 so quickly... but I finally did and this past year was the biggest steps to fulfilling this dream... from suspension upgrades to 300zx big brake upgrade to finally the SR20DET(with goodies  )
This past Sunday was the time to start it... see if all the hard work I had done paid off.
Key in the ignition, heart pounding I turned it on....
With loud roar the engine came to life at nearly 11 PM, It settled fairly quickly without any problems aside from oil burning off the turbo and the smoke expected from it being flooded with oil during shipment(jackazzes didn't drain the fluids :duh: ) and a high idle (1500-1700 rpm) which I have to check... after I made sure all was in working order I took the plunge... and revved the engine.
All I can say is Magnificent
Thank You
P.S. I think the "family" here at Zilvia.net needs a
