Hey...I've searched but nothing really answers my question. I was wondering if I would be able to get Q45 hubs on my 240sx with little or no modification.

No you can't use Q45 rear hubs there axles are larger than S13/S14 axles but you can use J30 hubs.

Rears new aren't that expensive

Well, relatively speaking

New is like $95/ea from performancenissanparts.com I think?

Fronts have more options these days, and the price for GTO/Attain/Peak are dropping slightly.

Can anyone else back this up (the j30 hubs)... I've never heard about a j30 rear hub, or front hub for that matter, working on a 5-lug swap.....

Yea I back it up, I have them on my car see my sig (rear J30 hubs and spindle and multi links and LCA). Ofcourse if you want to use just the hubs then you have to get them off and early J30 (as I believe these are removable) as the newer ones like my setup the hub is pressed onto the spindle its not removable but its still replaceable.

P.S. Ofcourse no front 5 lug hubs will work besides S14's and after market ones.

^^So you'd need almost the entire rear hub/suspension to make this work... but it is all bolt on.....?

It depends which way you go like I said im almost positive on earlier J30's you can just swap the hubs and the other way yeah youhave to swap everything well just the uprights and LCA you can use your S13 multi-links all teh answers are in the link.

so if i was to get J30 spindles and hubs...then i would be able to get a 5 lug conversion for my rear right? I dont know but when i bought the car, the guy said he has a J30 vlsd on the car...would i have J30 axles too then or 240 axles. Thanks for the help guys

Its depends if its a later J30 VLSD then you might just have stock S13 axles, if its an early J30 VLSD then you probably got the 5 lug J30 axles, just look under your car at your axles and count.

Its either 5 lug or 6 lug, since you say 2 close to eachother its most likely you got stock S13 axles which are 6 lug, the 5 lugs are evenly spaced around.

actually that price is without bearings. The rears are sold without the bearings and you have to buy the bearings seperately which severly jacks up the price. The bearings cost as much or more than the hubs.

would that matter for the 5 lug conversion then? would the spindle and hub just bolt on if i was to get the older 93-95 hubs?

All 4 and 5 lug hubs that area attached by 4 19mm bolts in the rear will bolt up to your stock uprights and wouldn't require you to by new bearing if your swaping them over unless the bearings are bad ofcourse, refere again to my link I gave you, there are to many combinations in which you can go 5 lug in there rear to rename all over again, just read threw it again, ts all there

Nice, Charlie. Didn't know about the J30 rear option for 5 lug. It's not a bad way to go since J30 pop up seldom in junkyards. S14s and Z32 are nearly impossible to find intact.

It's funny, I've been telling people for over two years that J30 rear hubs work fine, no one ever listened. Now that I've used the three sets I had laying around since they wouldn't sell, people want them.

The only think to watch out for is if your using the later J30 uprights (the one that the hub is pressed onto) is to make sure you also get the LCA.

$95 for the front which includes bearings. A friend picked up a pair.
the rear doesn't include bearings. 90 for hubs + 84 for bearings

^ Only for an S14 though. S13 will need the spindle and ball joint as well.
