im in the process of replacing my rear pads on my 89 SE . i did everything fine w/o problem the only problem now is that my caplier is too tight to fit the new (thicker) pads i bought a clamp vise to try and push down the cylinder but it doesn't budge at all...
am i missing something?
my cars still sitting outside as of now.. need to get this thing back running ...

just read this from 240sx.org
Doing the rears? Remember the piston is screwed back into the caliper, not pressed liked the fronts.
does this mean i just have to turn the piston?

I just changed my rear brake pads. you can get a piston tool, it's a metal block that goes on a ratchet. You can turn the piston just like a screw, it goes into those little slots on the piston. make sure you crank it all the way in. Make sure you line up the pad tab with the piston slot, The pads are a tight fit, i posted up directions, let me get you the link
