Red top SR20DET for sale. The engine itself is IN PIECES. I bought it to rebuild and never had the time, so it's for sale. All of the main pieces are there, but there are several small pieces missing and the engine ABSOLUTELY requires a rebuild.

Pictures available upon request. (Website is currently offline)

Engine itself is at my friend's shop in San Jose, CA. Pick up only.

$300 firm

Please email me at balvarez AT gmail DOT com with any questions.

I will not part out and will not ship. Lowballers will be laughed at and insulted accordingly.

Thanks,
Byron

just wondering what things are missing exactly

Missing parts:
ALL Accessories. As in no manifolds, turbo, piping, wiring, coils, or mounts
1 or 2 of the rocker arms
Several shims
Oil Pan
There may be a few more small things that I forgot, but these are the main ones.

The engine does have the valve cover, complete head minus the parts listed above, and complete bottom end. The oil pickup is slightly damaged, so a new one should be purchased as well.

The #1 Cylinder was missing the conrod bearing when I bought it. I never ran the engine and the previous owner says he didn't run it without that bearing either. This is why I stated that the engine absolutely requires a rebuild.

The picture link is back online and you can see the condition of the engine during the tear down and as it sits right now in said link.

Thanks,
Byron

bumpity bump for a great seller!

I have *seen* this engine folks, it is exactly how he says. Too bad it wouldn't fit in my MGB or it would have been snached up already by me.
