A.E.? yuck...

personally, id just buff them with some compounds/metal polish and go at it with steel wool for the lips...

it'll take time, but save you tons

not necessarily "waste" of money but money could be "better spent"

that $480 could go to a "better" set of wheels with better offset, fitment, etc, or tires, track day, etc

if anything i would just use never dull on the lips, then just sand the face, prime and rattle can it

comes out fine, and cost is well under 20 bucks

oh and for color i would do gunmetal, but depends on what color your car is. color choice should be YOUR choice, not ours.

Just use those a drift rims. or road race. I dont think it would be worth it to have them reconditioned.

Dude recondition them yourself, much cheaper. Plus those wheels aren't even worth the $480 you'd spend to recondition them.

wet sanded the whole thing with wd-40 and 800 grit
+
polished with mothers polish
+
hours of elbow grease

obviously black paint for the middle

you can cheat... spray the middle whatever color you want and just polish the lip.

yeah you are better off doing it yourself. depending an where you send them for reconditioning it takes weeks usually and probably costs more.

the hsop i work at sent some out for reconditioning (grated these were chrome so more expensive) but it was liek $2000 and it took 4 months to get them back.

break out a dremel and sandpaper or have them sand blasted if anyplace near you offers that service that cleans them off real nice

re-do them. but paint the inside 5 spoke white, and ofcourse polish the lips. that would be different, and cool as shiz.
