My first reaction was  this concept gives out hints to the next G35 coupe. I can see simliarities to the Fuga concept on the headlights...but OMG that exterior AND interior is fawking HAWT!!!

Infiniti Debuts Dramatic Coupe Concept At 2006 North American International Auto Show
Infiniti today unveiled a dramatic new concept vehicle, the Infiniti Coupe Concept, at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. Infiniti also showed the new 2006 FX luxury crossover SUV, which has been refined with exterior and interior enhancements and greater differentiation between the V8-powered FX45 and V6-equipped FX35 models.

The Coupe Concept continues the Infiniti tradition of merging design and performance. It takes Infiniti’s vibrant design vocabulary, which has helped establish Infiniti as one of the most dynamic brands in the luxury market, and elevates it to the next level.

Among the Coupe Concept’s exterior design features are a full-length glass panel roof, modulated front fenders and hood, deep front spoiler and large projector headlights, polished bare metal-look paint, compact camera outside rearview mirrors, hidden door handles and large 20-inch, 9-spoke painted aluminum-alloy wheels.

The Coupe Concept interior combines a performance-inspired cockpit with a luxurious passengers’ space featuring a “double wave” instrument panel design, with large, violet-color gauge illumination and a dramatic, full-length center console. Specially textured aluminum accents project the image of traditional Japanese “Washi” paper, providing an added sense of warmth and crispness.

“The Infiniti Coupe Concept embraces the continuous advancement of Infiniti design with a unique combination of passion, imagination and creativity,” said Mark Igo, vice president and general manager, Infiniti.

Igo also provided an update on Infiniti business issues, including the fourth straight year of sales records. In 2005, Infiniti sold an all-time high of 136,401 units, an increase of 4.5 percent over calendar year 2004 sales.

“Infiniti sales have been strong across the entire model range,” said Igo. “We’re especially pleased with the acceptance in the marketplace of the all-new 2006 Infiniti M.”

Envisioning the next level of interior design, where all passengers will be provided with equal comfort, roominess and amenities, the Kuraza is marked by six doors – with the 3rd row doors on each side operating from rear hinges – and three rows of large, luxurious side-by-side pairs of individual seats. Kuraza also combines traditional Japanese design cues and extensive use of natural materials. In my honest opinion, I think it's destroying a already very clean design. Call it the Tiburonization of the G35 !! Yup I said that!! That concept design is ugly compared to the current car. the hood and front fascia bulge up and to far forward of the fenders. There are swoopy curves lopped off with sharp edges. Bad designing in my opinion. Rear end seems like it has a identity crisis. It wants to try and stick to a classic skyline style rear but at the same time wants to incorperate Audi TT and Hyundai Tiburon with a dash of 350z thrown in. If this is the next gen of G35 and people buy it just proves my theory, that most people buying cars these days concept of artistic and beatiful, is mirred in extremely bad lines. Oh ya, did I mention it also has hints of the awful BMW Z3 front end ? hahhahhaha, god help Nissan if they produce this one.

it actually looks like the V35 and the lexus LF-A had a kid and this is it...

It looks like the offspring of a G35 and a Mercedes-Benz CLS500. The new seats look good but no white leather for me. The design for the top of the car looks slick; I definitly like the skylight aspect of it. As for buying one it better not cost close to the CLS500 because I would rather get that than a new G35. Wood paneling interior and black leather...gotta drive with a suit always....FRESH!

the interior is godly, but the rear is ugly like a monkeys butt.

i think its a perfect design. the lines flow very well throughout the car, and it makes the current g35 look like crap.

The current model looks good and so does this one. I must admit this one does look better but as stated by echo, the rears dont always look that great by nissan/infiniti :P

i am totally feeling the interior. those seats look mighty comfy. the exterior is lovely as well... the rear looks a bit high, but nonetheless still looks good.

Pretty sure the front and rear will be changed on the production and so will bits of the interior. I just hope they keep that sexy side profile and those seats.

Ha, I think it looks like a toyota too! To me, it doesn't look much different than the current design. It's also starting to get a "Bangle Butt" and that didn't work out too well for BMW, now did it? I love the headlights though, very futuristic. I like the current G35, I think Nissan does too, so they're being timid about doing a major redesign on a winner of a design..

I like it. I'm not big on the back window curvature(not sure how to properly desribe what I'm saying here? but it reminds of the new civic.) but I really the fact that you can see the original G35 sport coupe BUT I dislike the fact that its not smooth flowing like the first one

I got to agree with S14DB without the normal e-brake and a manual they will kind of exclude the "sporty luxury" amrket that has auctually bought a lot of the current G35's
