sure, Im going back up possibly the 2nd week of Jan. A couple of my buddies are goin as well.. maybe we can carivan.. and all pitch in for a cabin..

would be mighty sweet. Would you prefer tahoe or reno? I can do both, but i think we might be going to kirkwood in Jan. Thats on the Tahoe side..

Name possible places we can all go boarding, lodge, and how long the trip would be.

So we can get a headcount on whom might be going, and so forth. Ill start a survery to see how many ppl wanna go, and where.

What about Sugar Bowl on Donner Pass? It's one of the first places that comes up on HWY 80 and the mountain is HUGE! One of my favorite places to go when I blast there and back on day trips. Its also higher up in elevation.

I was just at Alpine from 12/27 - 12/30 and it rained most of the time. 12/29 was a great day for boarding but it rained the next day. It hasn't snowed in several days so yall should go somewhere where the snow is able to sit at the colder temperatures and higher elevations...like Sugar Bowl! Nuthin sucks more than getting your favorite board scratched and banged up because of bad conditions.

anywho.. 14-16th is still on forsure... My buddies and I are leaving in the evening of the 14th.. Most likely meeting up in Union City. If your coming from the San Jose area, email at [email protected] and we can arrange a carivan.

It would be helpful to get a headcount, and carcount of the trip.. On my side, about 2 cars will be driving up. Headcount isnt entirely sure yet, but guesstimate would be around 5 or 6 including myself.

Lodging will be in the Tahoe area, (near casinos, downtown.)
Kirkwood is only a 40min drive tops from downtown Tahoe. (good weather)

Lets keep this open to all bayarea folks. If you live on the way to Tahoe etc, and would like to attend the 2006 Zilvia BayArea Snow trip, your more than welcome to! We will make this most organized as possible before next weekend.

Well.. I get off at 6pm on Fri, and a couple of my friends get off before me I believe. :hammer:

But yea, more room the better it will be the trip up. So if you can get the car, that would be stupendus! And dont worry about going up late.. We can snowboard all day and night on SAT!!! :D

As for lodging.. I will look around for what can fit 10+ ppl, and I guess we can see how much it will cost for 3 days and 2 nights. Then we can split up the fee from there... Unless ppl are going with groups, then we can just reserve rooms next to each other.. and so on..

As for the Kirkwood and Sugar dispute.. I can go either way really. but if more peolpe are wanting to go to sugar.. cause it being closer to Sac.. then Im fine with that.. just means we can go board quicker :drool:

Sorry I read the post thing but I just wanted to mention my cabin is 5 minutes from Sugar Bowl sooo yes I have boarded there... a lot. It's just that all my buddies go to Alpine and a good friend of mine has a cabin 2 minutes away, so we usually go there. Great technical shit like Idiots, Beaver Bowl, Keyhole and Palasaides. Fun stuff.

the cabin i got is located in south lake tahoe... i'm not sure which resort me and my friends are going to... if any1 in my group is snow boarding at all cause they are all newbes.... i was thinking to go to sierra at tahoe if my friends do go... i wouldn't mind if a few zilvian people stay at my cabin just i don't know any1 really on here.... and if people get too much to handle i don't want to lose my 500 dollar deposit....

first of all... lets choose right now if its tahoe or reno... that clears things up a tad... and then we can choose the resort and lodging..

I really want to go to Kirkwood.. and lift is like 50-60 bucks there for a full day.. mountian is HUGE.. and Id say its worth the lift ticket money..

And then for lodging.. Last time I was in Reno, motel 6 was about 29.99 a night.. costing us around 90-100 for two nights... and we booked two rooms... sleeping 8 people.. so Id say this time around, we might need 3 rooms.. basically to a room... 4 people.. splitting the cost of around 80-100 bucks..

Then there would be the essential... the food and gas... Evan.. u still driving? :hsdance:

As for food.. when i go up with my buddies.. we usually bring hella food.. cooking the night we get to the motel.. then eat like Jack-in-the-box before we go boarding.. and then PIG OUT at dinner like at BOOM town.. or some buffett after boarding... so im guessing food is gonna cost u around 60 bucks for the whole trip... if u conserve well.. cause there is gonna be lots of cupnoodle.. and soup... etc.. etcc..

AND LASTLY!!! the alchohal!!! thats what we usually blow our money on.. buy starving ourselvs either breakfast or lunch.. and just eating once a day.. and then get shitfaced drunk :keke:

Anywho.. Im gonna start looking for rooms in both Reno and Tahoe.. but I am positive that the Motel 6 in Reno is like 30 bucks a night... :x:

kirkwood is good., the tickets are 30 bucks all day with college id adn they give you a card to last a year. if there aren';t too many heads i can lend my cabin out as long as i am there. its about 20 minutes from kirkwood

ok so this is the deal. My cabin is about 15 minutes past jackson. It is in north lake tahoe. Apparently i am riding up with John Wayne and Evan. Jason and his friend will be coming up on saturday. John and Evan will be leaving on Friday night. Most of you guys have my contact info. I will be claling everyone from the cabin to give them the number there. I will have the address when we get up there. Unfortunatly i donnot have internet access up there nor phone service, so just wait for my call and i will give you directions and what not. Thanks to Anthony for your hospitality for letting us all crash at your cabin, which was the shit by the way..Appreciate the gesture and hope we didnt intrude too much =)

i had a blast as well...hopefully we can go during the summer. i talked to my bro. we decided to have a boat trip if you guys want during the summer. maybe some more snowboarding soon. we can togue (i dun think i spelled that correctly) during the summer then bbq and wakeboard and eat john waynes sushi. jason, mark, ferdi, mike, connie, evan, ris, and john and of course my brothers and two abnoxious girls....thanks for the great trip and korean bbq. hope to have another one son. and yes i will snowboard next time and not sleep till 5 pm
