I've heard of people using cardboard cutouts for cooling panels. If the cardboar is rigid enough, it should work just the same.
can't get cheaper than that...

Because not every 240 owner is a cheap and ghetto. :fawkd:
I've seen some who've used aluminum sheet metal which you can pick up at a local hardware store for fraction of what you'd pay for one from a company. Just take some trimmers and cut it out and bend it where you need to. It's not rocket science.

Quite the opposite. My parrents have a strong dislike of my car and contanatly tell me to get rid of it and hate any penny of my own money put into it.
They basically ask why can't i drive something normal and not waste money on it.

do you live at home holaback? thats reason enough to say your parents pay for everything, they take care of your RENT. wait until you move out, we'll see how you handle laughing at the "cheap and easy" way. spoiled little bitch.

i'm not crying, i certainly don't need this cooling panel. if my car ever reaches 75+ C then there's a cooling system problem (never has occured). its your attitude thats agrivating people, not the amount of money the part costs.

First you should figure out what a cooling panel does...
it directs air and encourages flow to the radiator. So anything will work if it's shaped and designed correctly.

I think all the metal cooling panels suck for S14's, particularly Kouki's. They are small and useless. S13's are nice and long. cover most the bumper to core support.
Only way to go is a full CF panel. Ether Garage Defend or the Renova knock off. He's mine:

thanks
From that picture it looks really easy to mask that section off, lay a fiber cloth ( or carbon fiber ) and resin it. It should only be a fraction of what you'd pay for purchasing it.

I rock the Renova panel as well. Only bought it becasue I got it cheap, and it serves as a nice tool/bolt tray when I work on my car more than anything else. (back to stock KA now)

Cardboard ones don't do so well when it rains...

haha, just making the sarcastic point that you can make one cheaply.
Hey, where did you buy the panel? looks good. I know you have a Kouki S14 also, and for some reason I only thought most manufacturers made them only for the Zenki.

They sell them seperately for kouki and zenki. I got mine a while back from a local guy who had a new one sitting around un-used for cheap, but Phase2 has them as well as renova sells them on e-bay for real cheap now.

hahaha i hear the exact same thing from my parents.. but my case is probably worst. people who know me know why. they want me to drive something normal like a corolla or civic.. "with all that money you spent, you could have got a new car or downpayment for one"
