You gotta give more symptoms. Is it cranking at a normal speed? is it cranking at all? More details..

maybe you don't have a starter, check your starter, alternator? acc lights come on?

it turns over, can any of the relays or sensors keep it from starting,we changed the temp sensor, battery, spark plugs, oil, added water remover to fuel, reset timing.had it hooked up to computer, only threw one code, code was 13-temp sensor

Check to make sure you connected the ground from the engine to body, Pull the spark plugs out and crank the engine, it might be flooded a bit if youve been trying to start it alot.Try starting it in clear flood mode also.
If you dont know clear flood mode is when you press the gass all the way down, and then try to start it.

check if the distributor is put on 180 degrees off haha...cuz my friends motor swap had the same problem. it wouldnt start but the car had fuel, spark, and good compression. we flooded dat motor and messed up the plugs until we realized the distributor was on the wrong way haha...good luck

You cant put a sohc dist 180 deg off. It only goes on one way. Sounds like your spark plug wires are on the wrong plugs, or your fuel line are on backwards.

We did all of that,to no avail.I need to know where anything that has to do with starting the car is,the starter is fine, but i am thinking the starter relay or ignition module etc.might be messed up.....

Well the coolant sensor will cause starting problems but if it has been changed thats good. If the engine is turning over then the ignition switch is working. If you have good compression then you cam timing is most likely correct. The distributor can not physically be 180degrees off, but the rotor might not be pointing to #1 cylinder. Change your plugs because it is most likely flooded, also change you O2 sensor because if you were burning coolant it ruins the 02 sensor. Going to WOT when starting a fuel injected car cuts off the fuel.
Sounds like the timing is wrong so check over every inch of your ignition system.

what about the alternator,i read that it has voltage regulator in it,and also diodes, was told that if those were exposed to overheating they could be ruined.

shoot throttle body cleaner into one of the two ports on the intake tube while cranking. If the motor fires for a moment then you have a fuel issue. If not then take a plugout, hold it in the boot, and hold the plug against the head as you crank if you see a spark you know the ignition system is working. Also check the output of the M.A.F sensor.

what is "going to wot" mean?how do you check m.a.f sensor output?could the alternator be messed up if coolant was leaking down onto part of it?

the alternator will not keep the car from starting.. all the alternator does is charge the battery once the car is running. Do you have 12volts or more at the battery? Have you checked the fuses in the fuseboxes under the hood?
I have an 89 and it wouldnt start. Turns out the engine control fuse was bad. Get a test light and test every fuse in the box. They should all be hot unless they are an accessory which must be turned on to be live.
Make sure you have spart at the plugs and that your ignition timing is right. Check that you didnt miss a vacumn hose or something when you reinstalled the engine.

PS going to WOT mean going to Wide Open Throttle. (press the gas peddle all the way to the floor)

im sorry...I just talked to my friend we did the swap with and I found out the distributor was not put in 180 degrees off but the shaft coming in from the oil pump that connects to the dist rotor was off 180 degrees...sorry for the misconfusion...you can check dis out and see if it works

well we changed the o2 sensor out for a new one,the car started ran for about 10 minutes or so,then he tried to put it in gear to move it and it shut off and wouldn't start back up.
