which is a better sway bar Cusco or whiteline? Thinking of getting swaybars for my 240 and wanted to get the best.
also what is a good setup for the 240 as far as swaybars and strut bars go? as in what works better on our cars?

From what I hear, the whitelines are every bit as good as the Cusco bars. Price wise, the whitelines are waaaay better (a small range of adjustment and $300 with a bit of shipping vs. non-adjustable $500 bars... hmmm).
I'm not familiar with Cusco's entire line of swaybars though... but they'd have to offer some pretty thick swaybars to compete with Whiteline's adjustable ones.

couldnt we just bend steel piping and make a ghetto sway bar for like 5 bucks? haha maybe. maybe not

Sway bars are solid "spring" steel. I dono what kind of steel that is, but its the same kind springs are made of. So getting a hollow steel pipe and bending it wouldn't work very well since they aren't made do bend.
If that wasn't enough, the endlinks would be a bitch to make <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
And for those who care...complement of turnfast.com (who else?)
Anti-roll bar-- (a.k.a. sway bar, stabilizer bar) a bar typically 3/4" to 1-1/8" in diameter connecting the right and left side suspension components across the front pair or rear pair of wheels. The bar may be straight or have several bends in it to route its way from one side of the car to the other. The bar will have some capacity for flexing.
The purpose is to add resistance to body roll. Body roll by itself is not a bad thing, but it tends to alter the relationship of the suspension geometry to the road surface. This in turn alters the angle of the wheel and tire on the road surface. The purpose of limiting body roll is to maintain as close as possible the intended relationship of the tire to the road surface.
A secondary function of the anti-roll bar is to alter the roll stiffness differential between the front and rear of the car. This is an important element used to balance the tire grip between the front and rear of the car and tune the handling relative to understeer and oversteer characteristics.
