Being that the only thing this has to do with Nissan's is the fact you're selling one to buy a different car, this is moved to Off Topic.
The WRX costs more. A fully equipped Civic Si costs 22K with the navigation system - the WRX TR 24K.
The Civic Si would probably be a bit better handling in stock form but not nearly as powerful as the WRX.
I would pick neither of them. They both have really ugly front ends. The Civic looks like a electric car and the WRX looks like a pig's snout.

3 Words:
Application Application Application.
WHAT do you plan to do with it?
DD? Track whore? Drift (hahaha)? Weekend autoXing? Drag?
You're question is devoid of any detail about what your build plan are, or your intended application. I'm pretty lost on why you'd want a Si tho? You mean a new one? Either way, feels like a waste of $ to me for anything but a nice reliable DD.

if I wanted something 'peppy' to drive around a whole lot but something that still handled well I would get the SI. If I wanted something I could turn into a track whore and modify or just something that could be turned into an animal WRX. You can also buy WRX's used, cant buy Civic SI's used yet.

I think if i had a civic si i would worry about the cat get stolen in every second that i am not around my car. the powertrain is too hot for rest of civic/integra owners.

Have you thought about the Evo 9? Same 4 door and AWD setup but looks a whole lot better doing it.(Just my opinion). Can also be a great daily or track car or both.
I think he needs to specify whether he is talking about a NEW car or a USED car. The older Civic Si and WRX is very different than the new ones.

+1 for application. you driving in rain and snow alot? the WRX without a question. you a penny pincher that will regret less gas mileage and a higher insurance premium? go civic. for fun daily driving that involves distances and fairly clear roads go WRX.

civic less initial buy in cost, VASTLY less cost to own. WRX more fun. Go with your priorities.

wrx
That's a tough choice for me. I think i would end up with the WRX even though i hate the fact of owning a Subaru with a weak drivetrain.

get a 05 wrx, the new 06 wrx looks like ass but it does have more power. for the price of a brand new 06 wrx, you can probably get an 05 or 04 sti for the money.

the '06 WRXs look fucking terrible. i hate the new front ends. the '05 Mustangs suck balls too.
all depends what you're going to use the car for and where you live, etc, etc.

good luck getting your hands on an '06 civic SI. A co-worker of mine went to go buy one and there is a waiting list for them. The dealership hasn't even gotten them in yet! Also, there susposedly only making a limited quantity of them.
why sell the 240? unless you feel like paying monthly and more for insurance....

are you sure your talking about the 06 SI? is it the hatchback model? or the coupe? ... anyways, i would pick the wrx, but then again, i would just keep the 240.
