What do you think is the avergae cost of Swapping the SR20DET engine in to a S13 and taking the KA out. How much you think the garage will charge?<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>/

If you take it to a regular mom and pop shop they probally won't touch it because it's illegal and a performance shop will charge you an arm and a leg...(the place near me charges $76/hr) Your best bet is to find someone local,if your in or near VA I can hook you up, that can put it in for you or if you have a couple of friends that know their shit do it yourself

Do it yourself=$500 (keep a grand on hand if you screw up)
Shop= $2500 (was the common quote I got)
Friend=$800-$1000 (gotta love the hook ups)

I was quoted 850 plus costs of converting from auto to 5spd which was like 4 or 500 i believe. Im not sure why it was so cheap, maybe because the motor came from one of their sources..?

i know Full Throttle NYC.com gives some ok deals.....
$2500 is WAY TOO MUCH IMO jus for labor, thats right up there with the engine cost... The guys at www.Srswap.com charge about $1500

I wouldn't do it myself because anytime i have to keep a GRAND on hand if i mess up is too risky for me, i'm a chicken, and my friends can install B16s like noones bizness but none of my friends really know nissans enough for me to trust them LOL......

You gotta look around man, get qoutes from a couple of places and then say well "so-and-so said i could get it done for xamount of dollars" You can find a deal, but you will be paying a nice amount..
