'Cuz Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor weren't de-meaning black people through stereotypes.

I couldn't finish it either.. I'm not that bored. But it says that the group.. forgot the name already.. Didn't like the direction the show was going because of how he portrayed black people.. saying that he degraded them with the many characters he played.

IE: The crack head, the black KKK member, etc..

(I'm just drawing a blank on names today..)

I think there would've been alot more in the media if this all were true. But then again I could be wrong. I didn't read the whole thing. Only skimmed it.

Occams Razor.

Where's the alleged vodoo doll? Why didn't he submit the photograph of his sleeping children to authorites? How is getting bodyguards potentially jeopardizing his career?

Too many holes in this theory.

Tyree didn't molest the white guy's girlfriend, it was Lysol! Tyree had sex with her, no molestation. Based on that misrepesentation of the show I can discount the entire theory.

Chapelle's show is meant to be satire on all of those stereotypes that we unknowingly, grudgingly or proudly hold in our hearts. He took the stereotypes to the XXL and we all loved it. I think Dave's problem was that he felt like it was no longer just satire but actual reinforcement of stereotypes that plague the african american community. There was a movie about this problem directed by Spike Lee called Bamboozled. In that movie a TV writer makes a minstrel show for TV where black people dress in black face. AMerica loved it, "nigger" became a household word and the black community was set back a few decades. After seeing that movie I could see why CHapelle walked away. Although we love him dearly, Tyrone Biggums is essentialy CHapelle in blackface, complete with makeup on his lips.

But, fuck it, old Chapelle needs to remember his words of advice from the Rick James episode, "It's a celebration bitches! Enjoy yourselves!"

BTW remember Damon Wayon's crackhead from In Living Color? IF CHapelle and Wayans did a sketch together in their homeless characters I might just die laughing! Here's hopin!

For those who believe in The Chappelle Theory, Dave Chappelle's appearance on Oprah on 2/3/06 should be especially interesting. After all, she supposedly helped "conspire" against him.

:keke: :Owned:
You been owned buddy. Don't feel bad cuz I thought it was real at first, too.
Read the disclaimer on the webpage for "chapelle theory." It pretty much tells you the whole story is fake and that it was created to stir up the rubes on the internet. For the love of God, don't believe anything you read on the internet, including zilvia :bowrofl:

I didn't see the disclaimer, but I also didn't believe the conspiracy in the first place (cmon, none of the claims were backed up with any real evidence). In any case, Chappelle is still going to be on Oprah, but if that's fake too, then I have indeed been owned.

hahahhaha that theory was complete shit. Chappelle was burnt out period and needed a break. His third season is coming out in around 4 weeks. There are already advertisments for it on Comedy Central another stupid conspiracy theory bites the dust . Its like that one that says we never landed astronauts on the moon. I have actually met people that believe that one, man what a load of horseshit. The guy that believes that one was not even alive when the event happened.

LOL wow... what a crock of sh!t. The allegations of him abusing drugs and alcohol are BS, the allegations of him admitting himself into a mental hospital/rehab (I've heard both) in South Africa are BS and this "Chappelle theory" is also BS. Trust me...
