for those of you who know me, yes im still trying to install my sr. i have a 92 sr redtop out of a silvia. for some reason it has two spots on top to connect the lines to, and i only have one line that runs to it. what is the other one for. what or where does it hook in to? i can get pics if you need to see it.

thanks
kevin

No input? I told you what your problem was - your engine came from a car with HICAS.
It's up to you to put in the work to find out how to resolve your problem (ie. searching)
Your instant resorting to name-calling is typical of a bandwagon jumper who doesn't even know to spell 'Silvia' unless corrected.

im sorry if you took offense, i wasnt even referring to you, or anyone else that gave info. even if it came with remark about the spelling. i was referring to the other people that wanted to leave smart comments but had no intentions on leaving any helpful info. i understand that my power steering has a hicas line now. i knew i got the the engine out of a hicas car, i just didnt know that the hicas went into the power steering pump also. if that makes sense. yes im learning still, its my first swap. its just irritating that some people here that know more than others, and they rather talk crap or make comments then actually help them because someone knows less . ive seen it a lot, i thought this section was for helping not telling someone to go look for it. for some reason when i am not paying attention ya i spell silvia wrong, my bad. i talked to some people who have done a lot of swaps and they said to plug the hicas line by crimping or capping the hose right after the bolt. it just seems like that wont be enough, i might be wrong. so if anyone has had this problem or seen it, i would like to hear your input

thanks
kevin

thats the thing, ive been told to clamp it or cap it by a friend. but im not sure how to, or if its possible? . i have an extra line, its cut though. its still on the pump from when the engine was taken out. im going to buy another pump. i just need to go home to socal to get it. i started the swap in socal where i know a bunch of people that work on srs, but i had a family emergency. so i towed it to norcal halfway through installing the sr. so im just trying to get some input on how i can still use it, just long enough to get to socal. if its not possible ill just take it off, but i was trying to avoid that

Norcal has plenty of resources for getting spare parts.
Anyway, figure out which line you don't need, take the whole assembly to a metal fabrication place (with welders of course) and have them snip and weld closed the one you don't need.
