The rear camber arms now featured in chromolly and offer more adjustability. (Approximately up to 3 degrees of negative camber for the road and auto cross racers)

The Powertrix tension rods and front camber arms are made of heat tempered forged steel or chromolly. These suspension components under go massive stress and entire weight transfer of the vehicle. We recommend steel for these components to ensure structure ability under stress. Our arms have been Drag and Track tested under the most rigorous scenarios at the road courses of Willow Springs, Button Willow and California Speedway Drag strip with several different adjustments and are used and trusted by all Major Twinturbo.net Forum Vendors for their personal and race prepped vehicles.

Hello,

You had asked us this question in one of our previous GB post and possibly did not see our reply so here are the answers to your questions.

you said ''aluminum tension rods, which are never recommend on a street car''(is that what you get with the kit, aluminum?)...why are they not recommended?, I don't know shit about suspensions!!....I was thinking of getting the full kit for my 91 hatch, can you still get the deal?

No, all our components are heat tempered forged steel or chomolly. Aluminum can have the tendancy to bend and flex changing the geometry of the suspension. Though many companies use aluminum for thier products and have never reported any type of problems or failures, we choose to use a stronger material with more structural integrity as the wieght savings of using aluminum is almost non existant (only a .4 lb difference from our tension rods to an aluminum SPL, Cusco, or Kazama set)

Through personal experience, we have seen aluminum tension rods snap on a road course canyon run. The pics below are of a Kazama tension rod. The aluminum looks so porous that it appears to be made out of cast aluminum. A part made out of cast is always weaker that a billet machined piece. So the particular part in question is now for 2 reasons not recomended. 1. Its aluminum. In our opinion that material is not strong enough for the use of the part. And 2. this particular piece appears to be cast aluminum which would be even weaker than if it was billet machined. It is for these reasons we decide against manufacturing aluminum suspension arms that take the blunt force of the car's wieght compounded by the road conditions. Street cars take more blunt impact and shock force due to various road conditions such as pot holes, uneven surfaces, entrance curbs, etc. Race tracks generally have nice smooth ideal surfaces for racing and are carefully maintained. Therefore ironicly, the public roads are more treacherous on parts.
