Hey, Droppin the SR20DET this week but I just realized something. I have a Viper 2-way pager alarm, should I disconnect this before I start my install? I've searched as many forums as I can possibly stand but have found nothing on this subject. I pull the engine from my front clip tomorrow and prep it for install. I won't be dropping the engine in until Monday/Tuesday. I hope someone can give me some insight on this.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sayin' I wouldn't want to just it's freakin' hassle to do. But, if I gotta do it I gotta do it. I should disconnect everything or just the starter kill relay?

the only thing you need to do is disconnect the battery, unless the alarm has battery backup. Either way the alarm isnt going to really hurt anything.

It's not going to get in the way unless the starter kill relay wants to be a d*ck and stay open so I can't start the car... that's the only thing I'm worried about. I'm relocating my battery to the trunk so I'll have to disconnect the battery anyways :redxd:

All you have to do as soon as you reconnect battery is have your alarm remote handy and disarm the alarm. It might jolt you a bit when the siren goes off but if your not lazy you can go to the trouble of cutting the two wires that go to the siren and reconnect it after you disarm it. The starter kill won't work if the alarm is disarmed.
