I was wondering if the s14 autopower 6pt bolt in will fit with the sunroof inplace? I am taking the sunroof out soon but if I dont have time to fab a filler I need to put the cage in before jan so wondering if I can run it with the sunroof or not? Also do you have to remove the door panels for it to fit? I have no a or b pillar trims and no headliner but I like my door panels since it is a daily driver. Just curious if not maybe I will get some aftermarket panels and see if they fit I know they make cf. ones that are flat or the molded ones with no map pocket. Just some questions if anyone can answer thank you also if you have the autopower in an s14 pics would be nice. thanks!
My understanding is that you get the regular 4pt then you weld the other parts of the cage on. Since you get the choice of with or with out sunroof for the 4pt Id say go with out and hope that you have the clearence till you get the plug in

cheapesst place i have seen the cage www.festivegarage.com
it works with door panels. my friend has this cage and he rocks door panensl.
it doesnt come cloose the pillar things really, it comes down towards your feet ffast.
its a pretty crappy cage id say. but its cheap.
you specify what model your car is when ordierng, so you say i have s14 with sunroof and it fits. its special for the sunroof car.

I ordered the 6pt bolt in with no sunroof and I hope it fits I will pull the sunroof and just use a peice of plexiglass or thin gauge steel till I get a sheet of cf to pop rivet on. I just hope the roofline isnt any different on the sunroof cars. I dont think the cage fits tight enough to make a huge difference. I know its heavy and the fitment isnt the best but for an scca legal cage its the cheapest and safest solution. Plus if I wreck the car I can transfer all my parts to a new chassis unlike an expensive custom cage.
The above site is cheaper. Not sure about the customer service but livermore gave me a discount on my harness also for ordering both. and the guys there are awesome as customer service wise.

ahhh...you better hope it fits because from my understanding, hardtops have a lot more headroom = the cage may extend towards the roof more than a sunroof model...thats the whole reason behind very few cusco cages fitting in sunroof models...of course there has been some exceptions, but generally, the cage extends too much vertically...
in any event, let us know if it fits without any issues...

from my knowledge, not understanding, the only reason there is less head room is becuase the actual sun roof and sun roof support droops down, he is remving the sun roof, therefor hell have the same head room once the sun roof is removed.
anywho, i think itll fit with the sun roof. the autopower doesnt come particularly close anywhere where it would matter that much.:whip:

Correct. I looked at an autopower in a sunroof s14 it was the sunroof version but it had plenty of room I bet the non-sunroof would fit with the sunroof in place. especially if you remove the headliner. But yeah the sunroof is comming out either tommorow or next week so way before I even get the cage and I dont run a headliner so it will be the same as a no sunroof car.
