Ok Guys,

We have picked up a new line of Front Mount intercooler kits from Hybrid Development International. We saw the newest design when we were at SEMA and are now getting our first shipment within the next week or so. We are able to offer an introductory price of $499.99 plus shipping. This is a full FMIC kit for the S13. It even includes the Hotpipe.

We were so impressed with the core design and price we will be carrying these from now on. The core design can be compaired to the Greddy R-spl core.

Here is all the info.

This group buy is for the gt spec intercooler meaning enjuku is $75 bucks cheaper than that other group buy, although that one does include shipping. Im defiantly considering this intercooler.

Is it the gtspec? The measurements look a bit smaller? If it is in fact the gt spec I think I'm game...

The gt spec is not a bar and plate intercooler.

This is the best GENUINE HDi racing bar and plate drift spec intercooler bar and plate-Ultra low pressure drop 0.5-1psi at 23psi

It seems like they have some specs listed from the regular intercooler and some from the gtspec... because the regular one has a pressure drop of like 2.8-4 psi or something I think...

So which is it enjuku?

I just bought this kit from enjuku and it is indeed the "drift gt spec" intercooler kit. Check hybrid-powers or enjuku's web site for more info on it, but I can tell you it measures 18X12X3.1. It looks like a really nice kit to me, and if I get a chance ill take some pics and post them. Let me tell you enjuku is a pleasure to deal with and ill definitely do business with them again.

why do they say it is a bar and plate intercooler then? Isn't the gtspec supposed to be a tube & fin or something?

Remus

It won't be know weather or not it's a Bar and Plate unless foolishdrift posts a pic or enjuku specifically says that it is a GT spec tube and fin intercooler and not a bar/plate intercooler. The intercool that is show in the picture in this tread is a bar/plate.

Alright, I don't have access to a digital cam right now and the pics I just took of it are on my normal camera which I still need to get the film developed. But after going to the hybrid-power web page I found the exact intercooler I received, and enjuku has even better pics of the full kit on their web site
http://www.hybrid-power.com/images_product/gt%20drift%20cooler%20bog.jpg
that is the exact kit that enjuku is selling. When I get the film in my camera developed ill post up some more pics of the whole kit.

Ok guys,

Sorry for all the confussion. The IC kits we have are the new GT Specs. They are a "hybrid": Meaning they have some of the flow characteristics of a Bar and Plate but with the efficiency of the Tube and Fin. It is classified as a Tube and Fin. It is their newest, best design we have seen.

Thanks
Ken

do these kits allow you to retain the factory bumper reinforcement?

If you guys swapped this intercooler onto a car that has ~400 whp and compared dynoes with a greddy rspl or a blitz or hks and had all other variables the same then I would buy it with no problem. I'm sure alot of other people would buy it if you could prove that it is indeed just as good as a greddy rspl. Any chance of this happening?

Our new Shop manager/Race Team manager is Kevin formally from C&R Racing. He has spent the last few years designing cooling systems for Nacsar, Indy, Sprint, etc. When he saw these cores and was impressed, we took notice. We will actually be running this core design on our 2006 Pro Formula D Cars. The motor builds will be slightly different from last year, but we will get a fairly good idea on the cores once they get on the Dyno. It will still be a few months before we are done with them.

I believe we are now sold out of our first shipment. The next ones should be here in about ~2-3 weeks. I can extend the special price to Zilvia memebers if you can pre-order your kits. Once they get here the price will go back to normal.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks
Ken

does the pipes in this kit use the stock recirc, cuz that outlet looks like it. what bov/recirc works well with this kit?

i plan on going 2871, and a SSQBOV, and i have a greddy manifold waiting to go on. and im not sure this set up will work for what i plan on doing.

I've had a Hybrid-Power IC kit on my S13 for close to 4 years now. I picked it up on Ebay and had it shipped from Aus. It was a really nice piece then, and this new one looks even better.

Would it be possible to just get the intercooler without the piping kit?

I'm quite unhappy about my piping kit. I received my i/c and piping kit last week. The piping is NOT WHAT IS PICTURED! Instead of receiving two nice silicone elbows like in the picture and what I payed for, they have substituted much cheaper, shotty looking cast aluminum elbows. On top of that I was missing one. I emailed enjuku immediately and received no reply, so I called them this morning and was simply told that Hybrid decided to change from silicone to the cast aluminum and that my extra missing elbow would be shipping out today...

I have done a TON of business with Enjuku in the past, but this is rediculous that they are not backing the product they are advertising, and not even trying to make it like it is supposed to be. Even if this is Hybrid's fault to an extent, Enjuku should be giving them shit about it and getting it right instead of sending people crap that they didn't even order... Or maybe they were getting such good prices on these kits because they already knew the materials were going to be cheaper, but just showed us the same picture anyway... who knows.

I'm sorry that Enjuku had to lose a generally - satisfied customer over some crappy customer service, but I'm fed up with sneaky internet sales lately...

Just to clarify... Hybrid makes 2 styles of kits for the S13; the old style, with cast aluminum lower pipes (2-piece hot and cold pipes), and the new style (single piece hot and cold pipes) that uses the 90 degree silicone elbows. If Enjuku can't help you out, give me a call, and I will get you a replacement AT NO CHARGE. I have purchased from Enjuku and have gotten great service. Sometimes "stuff" happens and it probably was beyond their control. We know the folks at Hybrid well and normally keep their products in stock, including the new and old style kits. I believe in the Hybrid products and know they offer a great product for the money... if the other vendors can't make the Hybrid claims good, I will! Just let me know.
