my experience at a poster shop...

so, today i was in the mall, and my friend ben and i decided to go to a poster shop to see what kind of car posters they got.

the following conversation was best to my knowledge, 'cause i didn't exactly bring a tape recorder w/ me for this specific occation

i picked up a bugatti (sp?) car poster and said "wow isn't this a beauty"

ben:i think VW cars sucks (bugatti=VW)

fat store clerk who happens to hear our conv:you think so?  i want to get the new VW cabrio.

and there was silence...

clerk continue to talk about car:and yah, isn't it weird how that the japanese companys such as mitsubishi, mazda, and nissan all use the toyota engine?  my cousin works for a car company, and that's whe he told me.  they have different brand on them, but they are all made by toyota.

to not let her feel like a dumb ass, and didn't want to sit there and talk about cars, i responded:yah, isn't it weird?

i looked @ ben, w/ a strange smile on my face, and he was cracking up.  i had to bite my lip so hard that blood gushed out all over the clerk...  by this time, we proceeded to exit the store, and cracked up outside...

I have a "dumbass" story from my high school car show:
I was parked by my firends at the show (I was there by the show cars, but I didn't enter, no high schoolers here can appreciate it &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':huh:'> ). Anyways, one complete dumbass preppy kid with his gf comes up to my friends trans am and was complementing it. Them he says "You should do some mods." (It was modded HEAVILY, he just could not tell)
We play along and say "Oh yeah, like what."
He replies, "Um like a stage II tuneup." (I am biting my lip so hard and I am still making a wierd face)
"You mean a turbo set up." I reply.
He says "or how about one of those tornado air thingies on tv."
God what a dumbass.
I'll omit the story about the kid that though his POS old camry ran better on 104 octane.
"It's like nitrous!"
I tried a chemistry lesson on him, but I just got back a blank stare.

It was painted in two colors, namely 'Rouge Ventoux' and 'Noir', and thus recalling the Bugatti T 57 C Ventoux Coupe of 1938, a damn beautiful car designed by the master, Ettore Bugatti. Yeah VW's suck. The quality sucks, the power sucks. My friend has a 99 GTI, didn't drive the hell out of it, did all the matenance, but somehow, his clutch disentigrated around 26,000 miles. Shitty cars

This happens to me all the time, people know that i know cars so they come up to me and start talking about things trying to impress me and they are total way off.. and i'm jus like "uhmm yea, i gotta go now"

this poor clerk is a fool, thats just sad, i'd have to correct her for her own good

One evening, I'm sitting in a parking lot with my friends and I have some guy come up to me and look in my engine compartment. Then he asks, "how much was your engine?" Now, my GS-R comes stock with the B18C1 DOHC VTEC engine. I go, "I dont know, it came with the car." Then he goes, "Oh, thats rare." Then he asks, "Is that a JDM header?" I go, "No, its a USDM exhaust manifold." What a dipshit.

My friends were in a parade one day with their imports, and some kids were off to the side yelling, "HIT YOUR NAWZZZ!" And then some old lady goes, "Make it go loud." WTF? Make it go loud? damn stupid ass movie. Cant anyone figure out it was for entertainment purposes only?

Then there's this shithead around here who took his springs out to lower it. He's tellin everyone he's getting a boosted B18C5 GS-R motor. Now for those who dont know, the B18C5 is the ITR motor, not the GS-R motor. The rice around here is unbelieveable. Just ask Evil S14. I even saw a Civic with a leaf blower attached to the intake. No joke, a fuckin green leaf blower from Menards. Said it added like 30 or 40 HP. What a bunch of dipshits.

That’s fuckin' bullshit! VW's are of the highest quality.
I have a friend who drives a VW Golf with 500,000+ km on it, and hasn't done ANY maintenance on the engine except for oil changes. The thing still runs excellent... even passed emissions.

Can you do that with a nissan? Didn't think so.

And underpowered? Try a VW GTI VR6.. 174 horse, 176 torque for 2800 pounds... it'll smoke any stock 240sx.
Oh, and the handling on the VW is insane! Best I've even driven.

VW/Audi powerplants are somewhat decent. no one has ever had a problem making power with them (look at the 1.8T, the Audi TT is slated to have a 265 hp version of that engine come next year...) However, the gearboxes do suck. Historically, these have been the weak links of VW tuning, specifically the axle halfshafts.

Well I have many friends who drive their VW to hell and haven't had any problems at 200,000 km +.

The gearbox's may be a bit weak, MAYBE... but you have to admit the engine is tough as shit...
