Following a previous thread here and also being a possible buyer from this person/shop i want to know whats going on. I e-mailed and have been in contact w/ 2 people and they STILL have not recived
a. a reply to e-mails
b. tracking numbers
c. their money back
d. any GOOD reason to why they are waiting.

it's past may 10th, i would like to know where peoples orders are standing especially with people that have orders going beyond 3 months. 90 Days is considered fraud.

Anyone Else hear back from this guy. Please don't defend him if your his best friend because you would be pissed too if he owed you a front clip/motor and/or money passing 2000 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'>

I'm not trying to defend him or anything but I did send him a check for my order but he hasn't cashed it yet so I'm still hoping for the better. I do however find it odd that he would want to move while he was trying to get a bunch of Group Buys going. Maybe he had no choice in the moving thing, but the thing is that I still hope everything will work out in the end

he never said it was sent, and i found it wasnt. it was suggested and sounded it was, but ended up not being sent.

they only part that was lied about was recieving it on the 10th.

now he said it WILL be sent tomorrow. so i would expect a tracking number no later then wednesday.

I purchased a front clip back in feb. when Ian claimed his distributor was in Sacramento. I purchased it with intent of picking it up in person so i could save on shipping. Then he said they had none in stock..so i waited. Then he started going through a distributor in so. california and there's no way i could have made it that far to pick it up, which i told him. He then said that i could still get one in Sacramento...but never gave me any info on it. I then requested my money to be given back to me and appologized for placing the order in the first place if i couldn't wait. Well...i have yet to receive a tracking number or any HARD proof that i am getting my money back. It's been quite some time since i placed my order and quite a while that i've been trying to get my money back.

cliffsnotes: i'm not trying to bash you or tarnish your name. your prices are amazing and it seems like you're attempting to do tons of business so i doubt you're out there ripping people off. i realize the move is making things slow too, but it's been a long time.

Hey guys,
I propose that the final date for the discount should be pushed back. I've been waiting for over a week for a reply from Ian so I can go get a money order, and have heard nothing. If this turns out to be legit and I don't find out until the 19th or so, I will be extremely pissed. I don't wanna miss out on getting my teins!!!!!

Well he tried to call me today around 2pm but I was at work, but I think he's still trying to get things going. I couldn't call him back though, I had work till 9pm, but I hope I can get in touch with him tomorrow. Other than that he's still on my good side. I think he should push back that date since he was gone for a bit.

more good news..

I spoke with Ian again, he got my address mail-to change and it is being shipped out today. He said he'd get me the tracking number today or tomorrow.

Seems everything is working out. I'll let everyone know once i get my tracking number and everything should be cool then. I can track it while on vacation.

Im glad its working out, i guess i would have had it sooner if he hadn't moved. Right now, i wouldnt mind ordering from another group buy of his. If this goes well, i wouldnt mind trying again, build up some more trust.

Anyway, so far so good, today is turning out better then i thought.

Well I just called Ian today asking for a tracking number and he said he would call me back in 1 hour with it.
A.) If he does then I will order the HE's tomorrow and he will get some of my future orders.
(Current order is just Tein T/C rods... had to play it safe and thank god).
B.) If he doesnt call me back then he will not get my order for the HE's and Ill just save the money.

I said this earlier but I will say it again... I don think he has internet access yet. I asked him to email me the tracking number and he said he didnt have email yet. To me that is completely understandable since he just moved.

Well Ian .. you have my faith for another hour.

Ok, Just talked to Ian and he says does not have internet access. I asked him about the timeline for the GB since he is kinda in a mess getting his house/business together after the move. He says for now the group buy will stay going tell he can get online and decide on a new date(probably another 2 weeks).
He is waiting for the company he went through to call him back with the tracking numbers.
I pretty much fronted him on the fact that I would not post my order for the HE's tell I got tracking info for the T/C rods. He was completely cool with that which gives me some more faith in him. So lets all try and stick this moving process out with him and hopefully he will get everything taken care off...

I'm here guys...sorry I haven't been posting much either, I've just been really busy planning my vacation and hanging out with friends that got out of college for the semester and whatnot. &nbsp; If any of you ever have any questions feel free to e-mail me because that's probably the only thing that I have been checking regularly. &nbsp;I have to admit that I have not participated in the GB, just set it up. &nbsp;Plans were to participate but I haven't been able to come up with the cash like I thought I would be able to. &nbsp;I'm still trying though because I really want to buy Teins.

So no, I have not ordered anything from Ian as of yet, but definitely will in the future. &nbsp;I have faith in him because I have not only spoken to him, but also some of his customers and they have spoken nothing but praise for him. &nbsp; This is why I was confident enough to set up this group buy through him and am sure that once he gets settled in, everything will go smoothly.

Anyways, I leave on Sunday so if you e-mail me after that, I will not be able to respond for a week (I do not plan to check my e-mail at all)...

Any other questions direct to me for now I guess, or if you have a way of contacting Ian, do so. &nbsp; My e-mail address is [email protected]

Man,

Don't understand what this is all coming too.

TicTac recevied my call as soon as I got his check. I got his check after almost 2 weeks after he sent it, this was due to the move. I got it after it was forwarded to me from my old address.

I warned everyone that's sending me a personal check, please be a little patient while the process takes place. I am not going to place an order for a product unless I have the money deposited into my account.

I just got the money deposited into my account and have made the order.

It's a little frustrating that I have to come on and explain what's going on. Everyone has my address and telephone #, I am not going to disappear.

Apart from the point that checks needs to clear, it takes time for orders to be placed, it takes time for distributors to get the parts, and many other reasons! Another was added, becasue people are impatient, calling my distributor, corrupting the business relationship, making everything just that much harder.

I need a lot of people to understand, I am selling everything that I am offering to everyone at prices that are unheard off. Lost Projects is a side business that I have, I spend all my extra time on this, but there are so much that I am able to do. I want everyone's business, but at the same time, everyone needs to also understand that it takes time to get things done. It's been a week and impatience is taking over.

Don't know what to do.

Ian

Well, when you say things like I'll call you back in an hour and never call back, it is kind of disconcerning. I understand that it takes time, but at least let me know you are still there. I understand the business and the position that you are in, but there is a point where you have to let your customer know you have not vanished. I also understand that you are busy and calling me everyday is not option, but an email would be enough.

Which other dealer you hear about that calls customers on the phone about his order, god damn it, Ian's doin as much as he can... &nbsp;

Wow, K Lu...

You are really going out of your way to be a total dick. If I were Ian, I would be the first to tell you to shut the hell up. Do you really think you are doing him any favors by acting like a total jerk in front of his prospective customers? If you are really a friend of his you need to apologize to him for all the business you have probably driven away, and the rest of us for being a total prick.

It is pretty clear where you are coming from. I have seen that attitude too many times. From plenty of shop owners that felt like they were doing their customers a favor buy letting them shop there. News flash asshole, people will gladly pay more for better service. I am one of those people. If you intend to be in business for any length of time you will figure that one out. If you can't deal with being on top of your business then maybe you should find a different line of work. Something to think about when you are writing you inevitable flame response.

Ian, I realize that this prick's attitude probably dose not reflect those of you your associates or LostProjects. But if you know this guy, seriously put this dog on a short leash.

If I can wait, so can you. Couple of great quote from you guys:

my credit card was posted to on may 8th..
be shoul be here monday and clear this all up.
im in the same boat here..may 10th!!!

HEY aaron tell me if u got a tracking number tomorrow. &nbsp; &nbsp;I won't be surprised if u don't. &nbsp;lemme know. &nbsp; if he does, ask him why he is ignoring some of us? &nbsp; &nbsp;

If you dont have it today, &nbsp;i honestly think this whole deal is a scam. &nbsp;the people on the other forum he used to use has some ...... &nbsp;Blah. &nbsp;

Ian get on here soon if your really legit. &nbsp;So far, everything seems like a game. &nbsp;

-----------------------------------------------------------

The first one was my favorite, would you call that a legitamite business concern? &nbsp;yeah..

Better service? you mean dealing with larger shops that keep inventory? &nbsp; Some shops starting out do not have an inventory to have prompt delivery and you know that from day one. &nbsp;Sure, pay more, but I rather be cheap and plan ahead.

I might've been a bit harsh on my words but having discussion about scams does no purpose besides making a legit business look bad for no reason. &nbsp; Then when you do get what you ordered, you wish you could've taken back the words. why do it in the first place?!

I wasn't talkin about the guy with that 4 months wait..so chill it

I dunno Ian any better than you guys do, but I guess I'm just thoughtful to others than some of us.

K. Lu, since you like to Quote so much here are a few choice ones of yours...

dball33 said this,

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">"I was just wondering if anyone has received their products yet?"</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

dbal33's comment was totaly reasonable. Not an insult not a flame but a totally reasonable question that a lot of people wanted the answer to. You were the one who was out of line.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">" &nbsp;go eat shit or som'... &nbsp;I dont care if Ian promised a refund, it's your fuckin fault for backing out."</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

Here you go again. Services weren't provided in a reasonable period of time Ian agreed that this was the case and promised a refund. It obviously took longer than it should have, Ian even stated that fact. The guy was justified in his complaint. But there you go making your self look like an ass.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">"Too all those that have waited a week and doubtin lostproject, go shoot yourselves.."</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

That kind of speaks for it's self. I really don't even need to point out why you are a Dick.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">"I wasn't talkin about the guy with that 4 months wait..so chill it"</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

Neither was I, I was talking about your generaly poor attitude.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">"I might've been a bit harsh on my words but having discussion about scams does no purpose besides making a legit business look bad for no reason. &nbsp; Then when you do get what you ordered, you wish you could've taken back the words. why do it in the first place?!"</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

I will agree that some people jumped the gun on calling Ian a scammer, I don't think he is. He dose not seem to be as organized as some other business at this point, but I have no doubt that he is legit. But there is no way to know that and it is the Business' responsibility to keep it's customers informed. I think that a lot of trouble could have been avoided if Ian had found a way to return a few more emails. The fact that he moved really is no excuse.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">"Better service? you mean dealing with larger shops that keep inventory? &nbsp; Some shops starting out do not have an inventory to have prompt delivery and you know that from day one. &nbsp;Sure, pay more, but I rather be cheap and plan ahead."</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

Inventory has nothing to do with customer service. The fact is there are plenty of small business that I do business with that have their shit together and 99.999% of their feed back is positive. PDM-racing and jspec.com are 2 such examples. I have done business with both and have nothing but good stuff to say. In this case it is pretty clear that Ian didn't keep on top of stuff and he paid the price in some bad mouthing. Not the end of the world. But this is a fact of business. I will probably end up doing business with Ian in the future. But I chose not to this time around because it seemed like a hassle I didn't want.

Now, Mr. K. Lu. I am sure you are not a bad guy. But the fact of the matter is you are acting like a real jerk. I appreciate the fact that you sort-of apologized. But the fact that you still think that your behavior was appropriate, needs correcting.

I seriously wish both you and Ian the best.

I appreciate Matt adding some clarity to this. &nbsp; Not only am I behind him on certain inappropriate behavior, I will go a step further and state why I, personally, think that no matter what comes of this there is a 0% chance I would do business with Ian.

In business, the customer/client means everything. &nbsp; If you don't know that now, you will learn. &nbsp;15% is a significant chunck of change on these parts, but there is a point where it really isn't worth it. &nbsp;Even if the deal came out in the end, I don't know that I would be willing to wait that long for resolution (nevermind the stress and aggrivation of feeling there might be a problem). &nbsp;Where there is an inevitable backorder or parts must be ordered from out of state, I have no problem. &nbsp; But I know my local shops can get Tein products delivered in five days.

Here's an example of a GOOD small car-related business. &nbsp;I found my t/c rod bushings were shot. &nbsp;I looked online. &nbsp;I found two real options: 1) replace bushings with PDM/Whiteline units; 2) replace tension rods w/ high quality adjustible pillow mount units. &nbsp;I researched both - R&R existing rods = $100. &nbsp;New rods drop in and may offer significant handling benefits = $220-375. &nbsp;Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of the $220 Teins in stock. &nbsp;I emailed other sellers of similar products to see if I could find a justification for paying $50-150 more. &nbsp; One shop I dealt with (phase2motortrend) knocked money off his parts to meet the Tein price -- all email correspondence, etc. took place in less than 24 hours and I received a UPS tracking number the next business day. &nbsp;THAT is customer service!

No waiting without communication. &nbsp; No month + delay. &nbsp; And no need for his buddies to give me reassurances or call me names. &nbsp;Just service. &nbsp; Is that worth 15%? &nbsp;hell yeah <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp; For the record, of the places I tried to deal with, one local supplier was to call Tein and never called back (I called them and got the "oh yeah..." answer); another returned my email 4 days later (sorry - I already received my tracking number); and a few others didn't bother at all!

I think some of us are too accepting of businesses that give sh!tty service in car land. &nbsp;I wouldn't accept that from ANY business and I have no problem using my dollars to reinforce good customer service. &nbsp;Would you accept a 15% discount at McDonalds or Banana Republic or anywhere else to be treated like they were doing YOU a favor by making money off you? &nbsp; When you go to a restaurant, would you leave a tip if it took an hour to get your food? -what about a month? &nbsp; That's 15%

Business is what you let it be. &nbsp; But in the free market, you can vote with your feet - if you don't like the service you receive, try the next guy. &nbsp;Take care of the guys that take care of you.

WTF this guy is having a meet in Fl and he owes you $3000, have you been in contact w/ him? Has he called you?

And as a reply to all the above post, 3000 is a lot of money and 3 months over due is a long time.

Dude are you going to take that guy to court? It's nice and all that he sent out some rods and other little stuff, but dude 3000 deserves not only that full amount but a public apology.

I think until this issue is resolved with xrockoutx

I too was considering joining this groupbuy, hell it WAS a good deal. But I will gladly spend a hundred or two more elsewhere after I saw the catastrophie that ensued.

As for all the arguing in here, the customer may not always be right, but it is the customer (and how you treat them) that will make or break your business.

As for the people waiting for their front end's, at this point, I would strongly advise you guys to start looking into your legal options. There is no reasonable excuse for what is happening to you guys. I personally cannot believe you guys are being this patient. Good luck.

honesty i'd like to say Ian is getting a bad rep from this post, yet he has not typed what he is doing to help these people out.
I've worked with Nippon Motors in the past and they have no had a problem refunding or getting new motors for ones that they said were good. I just can't see how a distributor can hold on to cash w/ out product. the law is 30 days, our hearts say 2 months, & my fist say 30 seconds.

i'd really like to hear the full story from the seller
