Sorry to postwhore, but I am with the batch that never checks the Events board. Registration will open this week (and will likely close w/n 1-2 weeks tops).

Date is 6/22-23/02. Sponsor is NASA (which requires membership to participate if I didn't include that) - who, I might add - has one of the best safety records at track events in the country.

How do I get a membership and what's the cost?
Is it in addition to the $298 for track fees and classes?
This maybe getting a little expensive

It is $30 to Join NASA, $289 for both days at Summit Point.
You can Join NASA-VA and register for the event at www.nasaracing.net
There is a link to the event registration at the top left.
If you think this is expensive think about how many auto x's you would have to go to, to get 4 whole hours behind the wheel. At $30 an autox this is a pretty good deal. Not to mention you will get both classroom and in car instruction at this HPDE. And you will get out of second gear <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
If it is your first time it will be a bit more expensive, as you will need to purchase a helmet as well. But if you are serious about any form of motor sports you will need one anyway.
Good Luck <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
