I Need Heat

The motor that switches cold air to hot air is broken. Is there a way I can manually bring hot air into the car? I know the motor has a cable connected to it that connects to a lever on the firewall in the engine bay. I'm assuming this is the way to manually adjust for hot air. Which way would you turn it? Up or down?

if you don't have heat now, turn it the opposite way of where it currently resides.

Yeah I know stupid question. I actually did turn it the opposite way. Still no heat so I was just wondering if there was something else involved.

The temp control motor uses a cable to work the valve on the hose in the engine bay that you are talking about. It also uses a lever to work the air mix door in the box. You may have coolant going through your core, but if the door is still shut, you won't feel it.
