I have a hatchback with a Wangan wing. I've already been through 2 sets of shocks. Is there anyway I can keep my Wangan on w.o having to go through shocks left and right?:squint:

He means, "I have a Wangan wing on my car. For some reason, the black shocks that keep the trunk up keep blowing on me. Is there anyway I can keep my wing on without the shocks failing?"

You have to measure the length of the shocks and order SUV/Heavy Duty shocks. Most of the store brands are crap and expensive. It sucks that the shocks on my Camry are custom cause I can't order universal ones.
Another option is to get a better wing. The previous owner got a cheap OEM knock off that weighs a ton and makes my trunk fall down at an angle. Getting a lighter wing or no wing will help a lot.

or lose your wiper and motor (if you have one)
and get shocks for a hatch with wiper (they're stronger)

Yeah I don't have a wiper. I was thinking about doing the GP sports spoiler which kind of looks like a mini wangan, but I love the Wangan. I might just go with the heavy duty shocks off a SUV or something, but do you know how much I'm looking at here, and if I could pick them up at a local autostore?
Thanks Mike for the interpretation, haha

measure and then get one from a junk yard if you wanna go low cost.

Let me rephrase: Get shocks from a hatch with wiper and you'll be fine.

you could wire up some linear actuators... i might do that, have the handle also be a switch
