i have a red top sr and my radiator fan hits mt crank pulley, i had to put some washers in between the fan clutch and the fan so it dosen't hit the crank pulley. i was just wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem. also i am useing the fan from my ka24e could that have something to do with it. i thought the ka and sr used the same fan.

im not 100% sure but all i know is that when i tried to use the sohc ka clutch fan it didnt fit bc of the crank pulley. and the dohc ka clutch fan clears the pulley. i took a close look to see the difference in either sr,kade, kae clutch fan but the SR and KADE is what you probably need.

I've compared the fans from a KA-DE and the SR, and you can tell that where the metal ring is on the clutch fan itself, on the SR, it's kinda got like a negative offset on it, whereas the KA-DE fan has like a 0 offset.

Because of that offset, when you go to put the fans on, the fan will either just clear the crank pulley or hit the crank pulley.

However, I think 1 of the motor's clutch unit for the clutch fan sticks out further and 1 of them is shorter, I can't remember. In either case, I must have the one that sticks out further, because I can use either the KA or the SR fans on my SR and they both cleared my crank pulley.
