I want to get a new shift knob, i've been looking at the 20th anniv. maxima ones, and recently at razo weighted ones. I was a bit weary of the razo because it doesnt thread on, and i've heard that sleaved shift knobs lose firmness, i.e. momo. Can anyone attest to the razo knobs? or recommend another good leather (preferably weighted) shift knob?

Razo is good stuff. The one I was looking at awhile back was weighted (like 340 grams) and threads on, but my taste in shift knobs changed so I never got around to get that one.

I forget the name of it, look around on the net for "Razo 340g shift knob" and you should be able to find it.

It's 240g, not 340g. I know someone that has one of these and he is very happy with it.

Well, that's also not the one I was talking about...

The one I was talking about looks like a small 2g DSM shift knob with a little bit of aluminum in the front, but if you shift like how you're supposed to then your fingers are gonna be gripping the leather, not the aluminum...

I was commenting on the knob I posted. It's 240g, not 340g like the one you were referring to. :D

Z32 shiftknob is the best for the money since it's heavily weighted and makes shift action feel much firmer. They're only about $55 new from the dealer, thread on, and are a good quality leather.

This is the one that I was talking about earlier, apparently there are 2 versions, a short and a long.

Here's the short one:

Ladies and gentlemen, Crioten was the originator (as it relates to me) of the pool cue, and I REFUSE to tell a soul until he tells me you have paypal'd him a buck.

Metal shift knob in Florida? :bite:

The black part on that knob that I showed is leather.

I live in Florida, and previously I had an aluminum Razo knob. All it took was for me to leave my hat on the shift knob to cover it, and it wasn't so hot that it burned my hand anymore. It was warm, but not "oh shit I've got 3rd degree burns!!!" hot.

Most people know the thread/pitch of the stock stick, so I think your "secret" isn't so secretive anymore there Mr. Hall Monitor? heh

It's still a good idea though, I just would rather keep the pool cue on the pool table cause I love shooting pool heh.

Fair enough, but I got the info from someone else and I wasn't going to blow up his spot. I don't shoot pool, so the best place for the 8 dollar cue ball is where it is right now.

That's cool dude, I was just trying to bring up the point about the "not so secret thread/pitch" thing that's all.

There's always gonna be people out there that don't know what thread/pitch is is on the Nissan sticks, so the secret is safe from those people haha.
