Vacaville nissan meet early '06

A friend of mine is putting together a Nissan meet in Febuary - March area (there is no exact date yet) at Yen King resturant in Vacaville, Ca. It will most likely be a BBQ as well. I'm guessing it will be alot of 350z's and g35's, possibly 280z's and others. I thought it would be a good idea to have some 240's there as well, plus it would be an opertunity for me to meet people from this forum since I am new here. I told him I would post a thread and try to get people to come so here it is. Hey, free food is a possiblity...:yum:

That is basically all the info I have right now, when the date gets closer I will post a thread with directions, date and time, ect. The last meet turned out good. From what he has told me there is a good number of people coming out from some g35/350 site. Hope to see you there.

Awesome. I believe we will have 2 or more grills going, because last time 1 wasn't enough, plus to parking lot is fairly large behind yen king, so definately spread the word around, I'd really like to meet you guys, and learn a few things. Feel free to laugh at my heap of a s13. In time it will look nice.

Yeah, oppapers.com is my easy way through any assignment.
We are still working on an exact date, but it should be in Febuary or March, I don't know the exact address, but I will post it when I find out. It is at Yen King resturant near Yard Birds and Cheveron kind of across the free way from the outlets, only farther into town.
For shopping all Vacaville has to offer is the outlets, but there are a fair amount of stores, haha.

Also, if at the time you have snacks bring them, although we will be providing food (last time we had burgers and amazing tri tip!), any help is appreciated, but not required.

Before I forget, any requests or suggestions on food? Within reason.. haha.

haha.. I don't know about that, but I will make a compromise, how about sardines, mcdonalds fries, and some pickled asparagas? Nah, but anything we can grill up, I will talk to a cook I know as well for ideas, and maybe some help.

haha.. I highly doubt the lobster tail suggestion too.. I might be able to get some salmon.. maybe. I was thinking more along the lines of burgers, hot dogs, maybe tri tip / steak.. but who knows. Last bbq was great, but warn me ahead of time if you don't like garlic, last time I got heart burn.

Thanks guys, any help is greatly appreciated, so anything you can spare would be awesome. Anyone have suggestiong as to where to get the meat, like raleys, cosco, albertsons, ect.. Also what kind of veggies do you suggest, I didn't even think of that. Is anyone into sushi? I could also order a platter from Tokyo Grill.

Hey was anyone here in Vacaville today, actually behind Yen King? Dave said he saw a red s13 with tinted windows, and a sticker right over where it says 240sx on the rear quarter windows. He said a few other things but I don't remember, he said it was doing donuts or something. haha.

Well my friends g35 will be out of the shop sooner than I thought, so it might be on the 19th, but I'm not positive, so I will find out. I hope everyone can come out, but if not, I'm sure we will have another meet.

Hey sorry guys, I don't have any new info on the meet, but I should soon.
Dave and I have been focusing on other issues, his car has been in the shop for over a month and my engine died and I've been looking for a place to swap in a sr20. Anyone know a good place?

Date: March 25th
Time: 12 or 1, but the earlier the better
Place: parking lot behind Yen King Resturant (136 Browns Valley Parkway), Vacaville, CA

We'd like to have an estimate, or list, on how many people are coming, so we can know how much of the parklot we will use and how much food to get, so if you plan on coming please respond and if you plan on bringing others with you, how many. Thanks.

Also if you could and want to help, bring food, anything from snacks to drinks to hamburger meat, you bring it, we'll grill it.

Okay guys, I hate to say this, but the meet is now on hold (hopefully for only a few weeks, two to be exact) due to issues my friend is having with the shop he brought his car to. It has been a nightmare working with the place and for the amount of work done he should have had his car back months ago, I won't go into it since it isn't my place though.

So we are now hoping for a date two weeks from now, but nothing is positive again. Sorry for the late notice, I was just informed.

I will probably make a new thread on the new date and to cancel this one tomorrow. Should I PM everyone to tell them the news?
