when my car's outside in the cold for a few hours, not too sure but this is the only time i notice at night, when i turn the car on and the lights are on, everything works like the signal lights, radio lights whatever, climate control (not hooked up) but the cluster lights won't light up, but after a few minutes of driving or so, they'll turn on, any ideas? loose connection, or what should i check or is something's going out?

Could be the same problem that the HUD's have. Faulty capaciator, if there is one. My HUD does that. Doesn't come on til my car warms up. Could be.....

I have a HUD as well and my dash lights only work when my HUD works. Its like the capacitor is the power section for the whole cluster minus the warning lights. There is a procedure on repairing the clusters somewhere.

Mine does the same thing. I get the cockpit nice and warm, then mess with the cluster and the lights come back on.
